If you have a moment, please say a prayer or at the very least, have a good thought for someone here who lost a parent yesterday. It doesnt matter who it is, just please say a prayer.

well said. i just went through that a year ago. mom was buried on Halloween of last year, so when i say a year ago, i mean it! my sympathies go out to this person, and their family.

We pass from death into a new life and pray for those who now mourn.
You and your family are in our thoughts during these days and pray with the passage of time the strain, the pain, will eventually ease. And, may your pleasant memories sustain and comfort you.

I can truly sympathize. Lost my dad, step dad, best friend, and love of a of a life time. You can replace stuff, but you cant replace ppl.

OMG Free, did you lose a parent? I didn't know. So sorry. You're in my prayers. I lost six family members in a span of 2 years, including both my parents and a daughter. The pain is always there, but it's different with the passage of time. Memories of loved ones are always with us. The only consolation is that they're in a better place now and don't suffer anymore.

Thank you all, we lost our Patriarch, a truly good and wonderful man. All of our focus is now on our mother who lost her only true love she has ever known. Their marriage was nothing short of amazing and inspirational.
After his serious accident in the spring, he bounced back rather miraculously to return home again, when he passed it was rather quickly, with little pain and in his own home.
