People are at it again. Shooting at a mall in Oregon. Now a shooting at a school in CT. I (still) find it very difficult to believe that NOBODY new the state of mind these people had been in LONG before these things happened.
10 days 'till Christmas. Wonder where the next one is gonna be.

I really wish this whole week didn't happen. It's just to sad and makes you realize the real problems in the world aren't politics, gun reform or not, religion in schools or not, gay marriage or not, etc. The real problem is mental illness. Sick fucks always find a way to do their worst.Just this week I have seen it in that mall, in that school and even the fuckin ass that let the scene of the accident knowing he hurt my kids.The people that are a waste of air on this earth.The only saving grace is the wonderful people that you see from these horrors. The off duty cop that witnessed my kids accident, my best friend with all she has done, that amazing teacher who will have a special place in heaven that pulled that 8 year old into her class when there were bullets flying past his head. I don't know how these families will go on with any type of normally in their lives. Even those that survived have had this horrific scene burnt into their minds and hearts.Please don't make this a political, religious or any other type of issue it is not. We need to start paying attention to the mental illness issues in our world. Even with that we will only be able to stop some of these senseless unfathomably things, but it would be a great place to start.
Oh and as a side note...To the moron who almost killed me today because you ran a red light. Thanks for at least beeping your horn so I could floor the gas to try to avoid dying! Now maybe you can try stopping at the red light. The break is the one on the LEFT!

Gun restricting legislation isn't the answer for this.---Never has been. How 'bout all the authorities who constantly track people online, in thier cars and on thier phones (and everywhere else they do) start using that to keep this stuff from happening?

Do you remember after 9-11 when Letterman had to do his show? I remember he made a statement regarding when it would be alright to laugh again or tell a joke.Is there a specific time after a tragedy? NO . But it is something that needs to happen so life can go on. No matter what your view of the hows and how not to handle the world the fact is it has to go forward. It's ok to mourn but not stay in that dark place to long.
As most of you know I have had my share of crap happen in my life and to my family. Even this week my children were in a bad car accident and the jerk took off. Like most people we have crap happen. But there is a part of me that just had to find things to laugh about. So after the car was totaled I gave my daughter her Chanukah gift (two days after). I didn't give her this gift that night because the accident was too new. But when she opened her gift two days later,she just looked at me and laughed, It was and emergency kit for the car.I bought it weeks ago.Sometimes you need to drag yourself out of that place of anger and sadness. I have to admit after this past week it was tough because also 2 days after the accident someone ran a red light and missed me by inches only because I floored the gas when I saw her coming straight for my door.The fact that my son is hurt and will be for a while from their accident as well as my daughter but not as sever and we were out of the only car I had and didn't carry collision coverage I really thought this was going to be one of the worst weeks I've had in my life.I wont tell you why but I will say that it turned out to be pretty good with the exception of the injuries which are being addressed.I guess my point is there is always hope and you just never know what can come out of a horrible situation.You do have to be open to seeing the good even if its blurry at the beginning.

By the way I think someone else scared her a little as well. When you call yourself Subgirl you might just get someone inquirering about that. It's always funny when they don't seem to realize what that name could imply.
