Is anyone happy with their bank these days?
As most of you know banks have gotten a new set of rules to "Help us" and as usual that means we got fucked! NOT IN A GOOD WAY
So after several arguments and total frustration with the "We don't give a shit!" attitude, I have decided that it's time to look for a new bank.
Unfortunately a credit union is not an option for me. I also need to have a bank that is pretty much nation wide because my kids are scattered and another will be going to college next year and we don't know where yet but we need easy access to ATM's and online transactions so I can transfer money back and forth easily.
So I ask you...Are you happy with your bank and can you give me some banks to look at that might fit our situation? The states I am most interested in are NY, NJ, PA, VA. MI, AZ and Washington DC.I'm trying for no fee if possible on checking and savings accounts.

What the banks started to do is harass people wiht loans other than homes. Fed would let 'em do that now. [suposedly]
That's why i filed bankruptcy.

They worked really well with me for 11 years. Then because I asked for them to add one months payment to the end of the loan, they refused. Wouldn't even do an interest only. So, they get what they get.

Oh ya, I take all my cash out of the bank when it comes in, I cannot trust them. Fortunatly, I own my little place, no mortgage, free and clear. Its not much, but its a roof. Those who know me, understand where Ive been.

I love my CU.
5/3 works for me, but I'm above the minimum balance and only have a savings account w/them.

Re: Is anyone happy with their bank these days?
So let me make sure I have this right.... Kam uses a credit union and likes it. GG built his own bank with a rail and all and he's happy and Perve not leaving his money in his makes him happy.Free thinks Kiss is just cranky and wants to start charging her for "services" and Kiss is just pissed off at about everyone and anything that she does business with.(Someone should send her some chocolate.) OOMG thinks they are all blood suckers and Ask agrees and realizes that our government gave us all the shaft with the "New bank regulations". Yep, I think that about covers it.. Yeah that helped me a lot.lmao

Banks are just a business, once you thouroughly check them out, understand how they plan on making money off of you, the better you can choose one that has the features you need.
Have several bank accounts. Hell yeah, the savings interest in never enough, the overdraft will bankrupt you if you make a mistake, and the atm fees are an eye roller. They're all that way. It's what banks do.
