So my question to Syb being that you are a castle farmer is When the hell did we stop getting steaks from cows and or stop calling that meat refered to as steak BEEF? Or is it that the people from the station spend to much time in the AZ sun so their brains are so fried they don't know steak is beef?

Your beef prices will go up including ground beef due to more inspection labour because of BSE...or Mad Cow Disease.
The U.S. for years has hidden BSE under the label of "The Staggers" and simply made the infected animal dissappear...BSE occurs naturally in one out of every one million animals, and it cannot be killed. If you incinerate the carcass, the ground is infected, if you render the carcass for dogfood or gelatin, the extreme heat will not kill it..and it will be passed on infecting anything that consumes it...Which is why we no longer use fat as a binder in animal feed, except chicken feed.
The U.S. food inspection agency has been aware of the problem for years and has silenced the people on the front lines with legal action, so they came here and went public, they also all work here now because they have immegrated to Canada....If anyone takes acception to this comment ,I believe you can Google the BSE infection of about a dozen people , that ate hamburgers at a Maryland racetrack, and within a few years died of Mad Cow disease...
The U.S. is taking on the policies of butchering cows under 30 months, and leaving the spinal column and head intact....so....
Beef prices will rise due to , losing prime steak cuts, world fuel and grain prices, further inspection and labour costs, and butchering of younger..lighter animals that have almost no risk of passing on the spongeform to humans....or other animals.
I know there may be a few here that will take acception to some of my comments, and your allowed to disagree with me,..I realize my opinion is very biased...but I kinda know what I'm talking about.
I am very pleased that your Government is addressing the problem, and not folding to the lobbiests , that have their own agenda.

For the record i dont believe that our government is "taking a stand" on any of this because they think it's the right thing to do. There must be a money benifit or they wouldn't be doing a damn thing.

you must be one of those people that think TV news reporters actually know what the fuck is going on out there in the real world...most can't tell their heads from their asses...so you expect them to know that steak comes from cattle, and cattle are considered beef? most anchormen come from the big city...and think that beef comes from the Deli, or grocery store meat department. IF they actually cook for themselves? they think you can't get a steak unless it comes prepackaged on a Styrofoam tray and wrapped in plastic, if it's not, then it must be fake.

There is a lot of mystery meat for sale out there...There is nothing wrong with buying your meat products prepackaged and off the shelf.
It just means someone else does the killing for you, but if a person ever has to process their own meat products, you'll find very few will waste it ,or throw out leftovers.

...Not sure if he is gone, The cows have started calving so that would have drawn him in for sure. Can someone please explain why colleges have parents and the kids fill out the same financial aid information on about 10 different forms written by both myself then my kid. Other than being a huge waste of time and paper all it does is piss me off.
I have so much more to do that this just gets me annoyed. But the best part was they now make you print the tax returns right from the IRS website. That is supposed to prove you actually filed them. They tell you to print 2 different forms One is the actual return which says is was filed on "April 15, 2014" (I read that twice thinking my eyes just fucked up but it really does say that. Then the next form they had me print says "No tax return filed" I was actually holding the printed confirmation from them yet it said NOT FILED on the other form not to mention they even sent her her refund already.Nice to know this is what they use to keep us honest and check on us. I want to know who checks on these idiots? Now I want to know if this will screw up my daughters financial aid because the one page can't seem to figure out that she has filed her return. GGGrrrr and my doctor keeps telling me he wants me to have less stress in my life.

So, it decided to snow more. Nothin' serious to start. Heavy snow but was melting off the roads at least. That changed after I got home. Walked in and opened the blinds. Looked the same white as when they're closed, so, I reclosed 'em.

You ever been to rural Missouri ? There are people there who water their livestock in their bathtubs,.....They just cut a hole in the side of the house and fill the tub....But I will say, once they accept you, and that may take awhile, I have never felt so welcome...I was like part of the family once they got used to the accent of mine....They kept asking me "Were you from ?"..and I'd say "Canada !"..Theyd' say "KAYNADA!! Shit ! do you know Bill ?...He's in Q-beck "..I'd say "YAH!! He's dead ".....Loved Missouri..
