Seen the surgeon today. Found out it is recurrent carpal tunnel syndrome. doc said work is substantial contributing cause. I can go back to work with restrictions. No repetitive forceful gripping or pinching activities. They gave me a shot in the wrist, (Hurt like hell, now swollen and sore). paper work and off to work I go.

So went back to work, gave them the paper work from doc. filled out paperwork for work comp and they sent me home.
called me and said I can come back to work in the morning but they need to call doctor to get clarification on restrictions. there is no stop date for them and they are not very clear.

Wind kicked up today.....had to be airlifted to safety , to a place that was a little cooler....and the trees were not burning..
Pretty cool suspended from a 100 foot line flying over the tree tops, while Ben the helo pilot ,blasted CCR's Proud Mary over his loud speaker.....
I would have really missed you guys if he hadn't got there in time.

I now have a different brace for my hand for during the day and my big brace to wear at night. good news it has not gone to sleep since the shot. but still have some problems. bad news the left hand is starting to act up and going to sleep. thinking the same thing in the left hand as the right
I just want to have full use of my hands again.

Hold your arms out in front of you and make them stay there....then bend your neck forward looking down at your feet,... tell me if you have any pain in your neck or shoulders ,or if your hands go numb.

I had a similar problem ...due to years of training on a punching bag. It was nerve inflamation in my lower neck, that would manifest itself by making my hands go numb.

Bought a dress awhile back. I never buy dresses but it was a cute little sundress type of thing. I thought it would be the perfect for this weather this summer. Bright eye catching colors on a dark background.

I wore it for about an hour the first time. Passed by a mirror and saw a flash of metal, you know, about chest high, from the corner of my eye.

Turns out the dark background is see-through. Go figure.

Back from the doctor I now have CTS in both hands again. This time got the shot in my left hand. The nurse is better then the doctor for shots. did not hurt this much when the nurse did it in my right hand. I now have a brace on both hands and will do hand Therapy twice a week for 7 weeks and see the doctor again.
I was told if I would have stayed in the office I would not be going through this, but with the type of work I was doing it did my hands in. will see if they let me stay with what I am doing now or not.
