Jar sauce of any kind is illegal where I live. And my recipe is so easy to make, who the hell would want jar sauce anyway? Peeling the garlic is the only thing that takes any time. Not garlic powder and none of that minced crap that ya get in a jar.

1 30 ounce can of tomato SAUCE
1 bulb of garlic
Olive Oil
Oregano
Dry red wine

Thats all ya need. No onion, no tomato paste, no sugar and no basil. Peel your garlic, anywhere from 4 cloves (minimum) to the whole bulb, depending on your taste. Slice it or mince it. Some people like the garlic flavor, but actually eating it messes with their stomachs. So for them, I slice it so that the pieces can be taken out after cooking. Pour some olive oil into your pot, just enough to coat the bottom. Heat it on low and add your garlic. Let it saute on low until it begins to sizzle, but dont let it get brown. Pour in your tomato sauce, sprinkle in the oregano, (about a teaspoon full) and a splash (a shot glass full or less) of wine and stir. If ya want a little kick to it, add some black or crushed red pepper. Put a lid on it, leave it on low to medium until it comes to a slow boil, then turn to low and let it cook for about an hour, stirring occasionally. Turn it off and leave the lid on.
Dont cook meat in the sauce. Meat takes away the flavor of the tomato sauce and adds fat and grease to the sauce. Cook your meat and serve on the side and ladle sauce on it if desired. It should make 4-6 individual servings. Its quick, easy and a total mouth-gasm. You'll never buy jar sauce again. You are welcome.
