Okay so I have an irrational unbelievable fear of mice that can only be described as unimaginable in my reaction.I have had cats for I think 2 years now. I have one living with me but the other is with my son being its really his cat.And every winter when it gets cold we get mice! I set as many traps as I can fit into as many places as I can think of and even after they are dead I will not look at or touch the trap. I have my kids get rid of them. I guess it was in inevitable that the cat would someday catch a mouse. He literally stalks where we think they come in.

So tonight it got cold out and that's unusually when they come in. No one is home except me (A very rare occasion)I am sitting in my daughters room watching TV.(Since the hurricane hers is the only TV that still works, until the insurance company replaces the rest). So I hear a big crash in the kitchen and a fast commotion.A few seconds later the cat comes walking in as proud as can be as if he were carrying one of his toy mice with this thing in his mouth. DID I MENTION MY INCREDIBLY IRRATIONAL FEAR OF MICE?I see him coming toward me as proud as can be and I scream so load that I scared him and he drops what I THOUGHT WAS A DEAD MOUSE.It was very much still alive and it is now running around the floor while he is staring at me like "Hey why are you yelling at me?". Now I jump up and slam my elbow on a wood railing (I think I broke it or at least chipped it. My elbow not the wood) and he is now playing run around with the mouse but I am still screaming so he stops to look at me as if I am crazy and he loses the mouse. So now I'm freaking out because I don't know where it is. I am jumping on my kids bed and call her while she is in the city with a friend in a restaurant and I'm screaming and she and her friend are laughing and I don't know what to do. So I jump from her bed to the step and run out of her room and turn on every light in the house and the cat checks to see if the mouse went back to the kitchen. He finally decided its not there and goes back to her room. I now lock him down stairs thinking he will catch the mouse and kill it. But now I'm freaked out because he could get sick from the mouse and they have all kinds of diseases and ticks etc.. I told my daughter that if she finds the mouse to get ride of it but we need to bath the cat and brush his teeth and wondering if I should take him to the vet tomorrow? God mice are such disgusting things!!!!! I almost had my second heart attack tonight and I still don't know if he got the damn thing again! YUK
