Vacation
I finally get to go on vaca myself. Gonna go to Chicago this weekend. I have a nice hotel room, some booze, and a babysitter for the kids. I'm thinking a hot time in the hot tub.
Can anyone tell me of some fun stuff to do while I'm not in the room?

Re: Vacation
i used to live in chicago, there is a great cajun resturant called heaven on seven, its on seventh street down town. and pizzeria uno has great pizza, it takes them like an hour to make it though. and if you're into music the house of blues or the metro are great places to see a show. i also got a tattoo at fat joes in polish town, they're pretty good there too...

Re: Vacation
I've been craving some good blackened chicken and rice lately and I've been wanting to get another tatoo too. Maybe do them both while I'm out.

Hottub! Why would you ever want to leave the room?

All the way to the windy city for blackened chicken? That is one of my specialtys. I can also blacken: toast, pop tarts, and just about anything else I try to cook

Re: Vacation
You simply must walk the mag-mile and take some pictures of the architecture.
You should go to the navy pier and visit the museum, the art is fantastic.
Plenty of good food downtown, and around the park.
Catch a concert in the park if you can, the sound is great and it is outdoor.

Re: Vacation
Well I'm back. I didn't really get to do as much as I wanted. Saw the Shedd, went to heaven on 7th on (don't remember) and the inside of the hotel room. Why didn't anybody tell me about the cabbies?
I thought I was gonna die in the cab. I just put my head down and waited for the ride to be over. We plan on going back in about a month or two but stay longer so we can get to the museums and stuff. But all in all a wonderful trip. Minus the two hour traffic jam on the way back.

But admit it, that traffic jam was at 2 in the morning... that wasnt a bad one.

Quite possibly yes.

Re: Vacation
Wish I was that beautiful but at the end of it all there was a guy sitting next to his broke down car on the side of the road. Just a bunch of rubber-neckers
