Audit
I'm freakin' getting audited by the federal government, and when they asked how much my income was in the last seven years, I said "ya thats right I raised cattle to feed a nation, for enough money to starve myself" At which point they asked how far from town I lived so I told them the guy they send out will have to stay in a hotel an hour and a half away, there is no cell sevice of any kind, no high speed internet, and no phones. He was supposed to show up teusday, and it's now friday,do you think he may be lost? I am entered to compete in a local rodeo saturday, maybe I'll ask around when I'm in town...or maybe not

Re: Audit
Let them find you, or you could flash one of your shiny rodeo belt buckles out in the sun for them to follow.

Re: Audit
I was auditied for '10,'09 and '08. CAme out fairly well. Nothing more than it would of been had I done them correctly the first time. Had a really good auditor though.
Is strange that the person never showed. Perhaps they changed thier minds after the no internet or phone.

Re: Audit
The IRS does not ever give up. I don't understand why the appointment was not kept (it is not their style). Don't fall into a false sense of security.

Re: Audit
Yeah, maybe they needed to find an agent with survival skills or train one before they dispatched him.

Re: Audit
I have not even filed with the IRS in several years now, legally. I really do not have an "income" per se. But in September, going to get a big fat raise, and no job. Go figure. . But trust me, I worked my ass off for many years, mosly heavy physical and dirty work, in over 100 degrees, and sub zero degrees, some would say luck, I say turn of events, and gaining a world of wisdom from being so far down, I was looking up, to see down, with (at that time) just the clothes on my back. Not that I deserve any more than anyone else, its just what is, is. Back on topic, no audits in my future.

Re: Audit
Well, the man might be missing, he may be an IRS auditor, but I'm sure he has family.
Contact the office and ask if they sent anyone, cause you're concerned about the whole bear thing. This is a two fold bit of action, one...maybe he really is a missing person, two...if he isn't missing, you wondering if a bear got'em might make them think a bit.

I hear you Chazzy the bear thing is a real threat. The area bears have to roam is a real problem when its shared with human territory, and we all know grizzly's have no sense of humor..

Re: Audit
Revenuers and tax collectors are always the most popular people to keep track of.
