History channel is running a 3 part series on this. Has been interesting so far also pretty much historically correct from what I briefly read.

I'm not sure who if anyone saw the 2 hours prior to the mini series, called America's Greatest Feud; Hatfield/McCoys.

Now that was 2 hours of documentary with photo's. Not sure if it will be on again, but very worthwhile!

I just searched the History Channel website and went through my "on demand" line up and there no sign of the documentary being shown again in the near future. Shit!

Youre better off to watch it from your DVR or line. Way too many commercials. There's a half hour of commercials in each 2 hour episode

Direct TV is hands down the best. I switched back to cable in the Fall because it was about $80 a month less, guaranteed for 2 years. But I do miss my Direct TV.

I wonder just how close that movie was to the reality of everything that actually happened. Obviously, there was only so much that was documented that the writers could draw from and I'm sure some artistic leeway was taken. Still, a damn fine movie. However, I could never find enough hatred in my heart to cause even a fraction of what happened.

PS, the GEICO commercial that was done for the movie was VERY cleverly done!

It is sad! The second episode was the hardest to watch, SERIOUSLY!!! And, after hearing all the facts, I have yet to see a valid reason for the feud to begin. It is my understanding these were literate people. And, I understand they thought they may have had good reason for doing what they did... but no, it doesn't make sense.. no sense at all!

The loss of lives, especially to the McCoy's was devasting. And, during my reading, it was noted many of those bounty hunters and law enforcement just "disappeared".
