Totally Slimy
Network news anchors, Politicians and Attorneys make me feel the need to take a shower. They're starting to make the stereotypical used car salesman look like pillars of ethics.
This morning's top news was about a foiled terror plot that involved an undetectable bomb on an commercial passenger plane which was discovered by Intelligence sources. During a live interview with the nation's top Counter Intelligence Agent, the Anchor asked many probing questions which could obviously not be commented on.
Realizing he was going nowhere, he brought up the fact that he had just interviewed the same Agent last week and had the balls to say "Clearly you knew about this last week when I interviewed you. Why didn't you tell me about it when I asked you if there were any current threats?" AND, as if that wasn't bad enough, he indignantly kept probing "But why didn't you answer me?" Friggin moron. CLICK!!

Re: Totally Slimy
This goes to what I was commenting on in another thread. Freedom of speech, freedom of information, freedom of the press. All things that get confused by people more often than I can count.
We are NOT entitled to know EVERY detail of everything that goes on. And I would have been more upset if the guy did release the information. The safety of the many overrides the freedom of press or anything else on the list.
As far as integrity of reporters and anchors these days It's an oxymoron. They have none.I miss the days when they actually reported the news. Reporters and anchors were not allowed to voice their personal opinions just report the facts. They also used to be journalist.I also think the reporters and anchors were more knowledgeable about he subjects back in the day because the were not racing to get things on in one minute, but instead they were fact checking and investigating to get in on by 11.There is no integrity , common sense, or knowledge in news anymore. It's about sensationalism and a fashion show, all for ratings and the mighty dollar. It is not about the story anymore . They are more about what award they win or try to win then the stories they report. I used to be a huge news junky. I can't watch half the crap they put on the air now.
