random act of kindness,
I really like walking on the pier sometimes,Friday afternoon was goofing off their digging the fresh. Air.headed back home to do a few things to realize my kw keys were missing, looked all over Drats.no keys, decided Wtf trace my steps.3 places to look, what are the odds,at the end of my pier time I stretched before digging my car keys out and lost them right there, our pier is very busy on nice days or weekends so I was exstactic to see someone had placed my keys on the bench where they fell..
I guess all those random acts of kindness might pay off afterall .or I'm one lucky bastard either way I was ticked shitless to find them laying thier.
Thanks unknown person.

Re: random act of kindness,
I made a woman cry last week in a supermarket. She was in an electric wheelchair and her husband was with her and they were looking for Strawbery mousse pudding and I couldn't help overhearing that they could only find yogurt and were just leaving.
Since I knew where it was I just wandered over and told her that " I wasn't being nosey, but she could find the Strawberry mousse (over there..)" and she burst into tears because someone had helped her.
Now I think she must have been haing a REALLY rough day for that to make her cry, but I was seriously pleased I had bothered to mention it without just walking away.
Taught to me always take care of the simple things

Re: random act of kindness,
years ago i was on vacation & i was camped near Ft Collins Colo. My starter went out so i started hiking the 8 miles to Ft Collins, A couple stopped & gave me a ride to the parts store, when i reached for my wallet to pay, it was gone, my heart just sunk, i had $1,200.00 in cash & the ppl that gave me the ride didnt know me, i didnt know them, I was just beside myself. So i started hiking back to my camp to have some money wired to a bank in ft collins for me, suddenly, this car pulled up behind me, the ppl that had picked me up!!! They had a family dinner & was gonna take photos & saw my wallet, & they went to the parts store to find me, & after hearing what happend, they came looking for me & returend my wallet & gave me a ride to the parts store & waited till i got a new starter & gave me a ride to my pickup, they felt so sorry for me, knowing i must be frantic. I tried to give them $100, but they refused, they said after what i went thru, they were just happy they found me...lol There really are some decent ppl left

Re: random act of kindness,
My son was pretty young and he had just had a birthday. Like many children he wanted to go to the store and buy things with some of his birthday money. It wasn't a lot but to him it was a fortune. I know it wasn't more than $20 but I can't remember the exact amount. Anyway as most kids would do he kept playing with the money. He wanted to hold it himself. I told him to put it away before he lost it. Needless to say he did loose it in the store. We noticed it within about a half hour of the last time he was playing with it.So I went to the customer service area and asked if they could announce that we lost some cash and she did. My son being a typical young boy told her exactly how much and that it was his birthday money. He also said the denomination of the bills. She announced it exactly from what he said.I figured it would be a long shot at best to get it back. I also knew at that time I couldn't give him the money back myself that day because I had just left work to get ready to have a baby and was not getting my checks from work yet as well as just paying all the bills so was real limited on cash. He was so upset.
About 2 minutes after the announcement an older couple walks over and said they found it and handed it to him directly.I have to tell you that to this day I think they took it out of their own pocket and gave it to him. Those were not the scrunched up bills he had. I don't care if they would have refolded them there was no way to get them that smooth without ironing those bills.Several people came over as well to find out if the little boy had found his money yet.I really didn't know what to say to those people, except thank you.
I always told my kids whenever we found anything that we should always try to find the owner to return it if we could. They still do. To be honest they have all had similar things and have had everything from wallets to Ipods returned to them. Even when my son lost his wallet on the Sea Side boardwalk. Someone turned it into the police cash and all.My daughter lost her brand new ipod that she had saved all her money and had everyone chip in for as well for her birthday and again it was turned in. So it didn't shock me when my son found a back pack with a brand new lap top in it that he called the owner to let him know where he could pick it up.My oldest son found a very expensive dive watch underwater at a dive center we go to. It hard to explain what type of place but most people that dive there camp there as well. He put the watch where he knew the divers had to come out. We saw when the guy who lost it found it sitting there and he was so excited it was returned. He never knew it was my son that did it and my son was good with that.I think these types of things do come back to you somehow. That's why they have had such good fortune with getting their lost items returned.
I agree that there are still many nice people out in the world.

Re: random act of kindness,
I think there are FAR more good people out there than bad ones. But unfortunately, we only hear about the bad ones.
