Personal Space?
You ever have people enter your personal space, wait maybe this is worded in a way that can be twisted more then one way..I can think of a few members I would really like to enter there personal space butt..
The way I first meant was Someone entering your safe space yunno the invisible Ora that surrounds us,that invisible shield that wards off bad breath,BO and other unwanted interactions .Some guy walked up to me yesterday and stood like 6 inches from me and started to chat away like nothings wrong.I had to be exactly where i was to conduct business, but was very disturbed at the close encounter.Does this bother anyone else when this happens?

Re: Personal Space?
It is disturbing when someone does that. I will back up or ask the other person to do so if they are that close to me.Sometimes it can't be helped. If you are in a subway and its just crowded you are just stuck with being packed in like a can of sardines. It happens while standing in lines a lot.I hate when I'm in line and someone is so close they are just about or some they are touching me. I have many times told people to back off. I'm not nice about it either. I figure if you are doing that then you're rude so I don't need to be nice about telling you to back off.

Re: Personal Space?
The concept of personal space is very variable and strongly influenced by your surroundings.
Someone raised in the city will have a personal space of a few inches at most but for someone from the country it could easily be several feet!

Re: Personal Space?
Mo one violates my personal space. I have clotsraphobia, I do not allow it, and aviod it. When grocery shopping, I gowhen its least busy. Will not go in an isle, where too many people are in, so I dont have to walk aroind them. Will go to another isle, then go back later.back in the day, loved crowds. That was then. Do not ANYONE too close to me, unless were are really "liking" each other. Heh heh heh. Stop it perve, you are killing me.

I use to stay up all night and go at 6am when they first opened. Later, I would go 9am-10am, get in and get out. And, I can be very sensitive about my personal space being invaded. I can get right down violent if in a crowded place and people are totally oblivious and inconsiderate. If stepping on me, or throwing up an elbow, it is time for someone to go home.

Re: Personal Space?
Must be some sort of glitch in the system. Maybe WN is starting to have some of the problems simular to yahoo. Have not been able to send paics or vids for months, all my outgoing mail goes directly to my drafts, and it shows some sort of spam. What are you saying I look like I am over 60 Kiss?

Re: Personal Space?
Maybe Its a computer glitch in WN? After all, everyone knows Yahoo is having problems, as in mine. Months ago, it (Yahoo) stopped sending my pics and vids. Now, some others said when mailing me, are getting failure notices. I try to send now, and it goes to my drafts, and receive some sort of spam message. This, is a violation if my personal space. And why Kiss, do I really look like I am over 60? And who else is "always" whatever age, for more than a year?

Re: Personal Space?
For whatever reason people don't invade my personal space, even when I go into crowded cities.Everyone says that i look like a cop,but perhaps it's because I just need a shower.Who cares as long as they leave me alone.I also know that most women have to invite you into their 5 foot perimeter, and that sometimes can be challenging reading the body language, and subtle hints,....but they are very ,very, clear when your not welcome.

Re: Personal Space?
Awhile back, when I decided to go back to school for a few semesters I remember thinking how awesome it would be, I wouldn't be a young woman , I thought I would be invisible, surrounded by all those 18-20 year old fresh young beauties.
(Sigh) didn't even occur to me that the instructors, professors, and even career counselors were very eager and happy to interact with women closer to their age. So much personal space invaded.

I love when you are in my personal space. I wish you could be there more often. I'll try to make my plane reservasions soon!
Funny that when I am out at a club I found that most people have said they are afraid to approach me. I tend to send a "back off unless I call you over" kind of stance from what I have been told. I think its from working in bars so many years. I had to be able to handle myself with the guys and never show fear. I worked in many go-go bars and after hours clubs. We had too be very friendly but always let the guys know it was a "look but don't touch" kind of thing.I guess I never lost that.It could be the the fact that I put my heal into a few guys that crossed the line too.
I had a bouncer tell me that I scared him sometimes. He was just scared because some jerk during a bar brawl that the jerk himself started, tried to come behind my bar and hide, and I picked up a bat or a knife I can't remember which right now because we always had both and I just looked at him and said "I don't fucking think so asshole!". But It's not like I actually used it on the guy. He backed off so I didn't have too.

You can both invade mine at will x
I don't really worry too much about personal space unless the person is being agressive with it. Too many hours spent on London Tube Trains kind of makes me immune I think
