Re: New Generation
There are several Beatle imitator groups who are very good. The children of the Beatles, may, and more than likely would be critisized, compared to thier dads. Not taking away from thier own talents, as good as may be, what is, just is. Just as Presly (sp, of course), I have heard numerous imitators, but none could hit that unique quality voice Elvis had. Heard a Sinatra imitator though, who is spot on, (a liittle British lingo there). Oops, wrong thread.

DEfinately correct about being compared. They'd also be criticized for not redoing thier parent music. Much like Jullian Lennon was.

I hadnt heard this before, but I think they should, just because they can. Screw what anyone says about them

Re: New Generation
I saw a snippet about this a few days ago, but it was on a humor site...so...didn't know what to make of it.

Re: New Generation
Considering that they have proven to all be talented in their own right I would like to see it happen.I know the public would want to see the "young Beatles", but not me. I don't mean that I wouldn't want them to do a tribute to their parents. I think it might be nice as a set, maybe. However, I think it would be much nicer to hear them do their own thing in the style they have. It would be a waste to take such talented people and make them a tribute band/cover band out of them.

Re: New Generation
I haven't given my take on this concept. I think it would definitely be a worthwhile venture. However, these are all grown men, and they would have to be able to work out their schedules.
Yet, I'm not sure of everyone could stomach the Beatles, redone. However, it would be a once in a lifetime, historical gathering.
Lastly, when thinking of the "next generation", it brings to my mind, Jason Bonham, the son of John Bonham - British Drummer for Led Zeppelin. Jason kicked ASS at the reunion. And, even in my little town, the new generation are kicking ass as drummers, singers, etc.

Re: New Generation
Personally I think this is a very dangerous road to go down. Children should not be allowed to imitate their parents. That's how we ended up with George W.
Roll up, roll up. Get this post quick while it lasts...

Re: New Generation
They'd have to rewrite 'next generation' Beatles songs such as 'Melanie Rigby (Eleanor's long lost love-child)', 'Lucy in the sky with her niece', 'Old Lady Madonna', and 'Dear Aunt Prudence'
