The pecan waffle thing does sound great.yummm.
Something on a stick could be fun as well.
Make up your own holiday might be fun but I don't think the government would approve of a "go down on me day" or something along those lines.
I am in control day. Really? OMG my mind just went in all kinds of directions with that.lol

Then Chazzy create that holiday for yourself tomorrow. And if you want, you can knock off two special days all at once if on your "Someone else take control day", if you could get them to take control and make you a spinach salad or spinach souffle for Spinach Festival day. LOL.

You would think so, wouldn't you? However there are actual festivals all over the US and Canada and one of their selling points is that the aroma isn't a problem because everyone is eating it, in some form. Not makin this up. Google it.

Awwww sweetie, I don't have to look it up, I believe you but it's not something I would attend.
Will not be adding Spinach or Garlic festivals to my calendar.
Let me know if you run across any flyers for a Funnel Cake Festival though.

Most funnel cakes show up in one form or another at small county festivals, fairs, and celebrations. A batter similar to pancake batter is made its made very thinly to put it usually in a metal pitcher and then the batter is poured into a deep frying vat. As the batter streams out of the pitcher and hits the hot oil in the deep fryer it immediately begins to fry. By pouring the batter back and forth in random strands on top of each other a fried dessert cake is formed. After browning the finished cake floats to the top like a donut, removed from the fryer and usually sprinkled with powdered sugar.
At my county fair, it's a big selling concession.
If you've never had one, hope you can experience it at least once. They are delicious.
