Pet Names
What are some pet names you use, or like, to call your loved ones, whether it be a friend, spouse, boyfriend/gilfriend, or child?
Before we were married my ex called me puddintane, which I think is something like baby or little darlin'. I have an old classmates who refers to her dauther as, Cooter. Really!?!!
What are yours?

Re: Pet Names
I was never that big on petnames for my partners. I still use the baby , hun, that type of thing but not a real specific petname.
I have been called many things. The ones my exhusband called me I think would get me thrown off here if I repeated them. They were so bad it was one of the reasons the judge gave me the restraining order and arrested him for domestic abuse that, and the threat he was going to kill me had something to do with it too. (No not kidding on that one.)
The other names my partners use are usually only used in bed and again not sure if I would repeat.lol My name itself does not even really lend itself to a shortened version. I have one friend that calls me "A" but that's about it.
I think maybe because I am so bad with calling people the wrong names anyway I just trained myself to be generic. It's much safer to call everyone hun or baby.I don't even call my kids their right names most times. It's kind of a family trait.

Re: Pet Names
When I was very young, my dad called me Bubbles. I don't know why? I had a friend and the guy who liked me called her, Turkey. He didn't like her much.

Re: Pet Names
One of my ex's used to call me, "Hug E Bear" until she found out that it was the character name of the zany black dude on, "Starsky and Hutch".
Another used to call me, "Bumpa." When people would ask her why, she would simply smile, make a fist and slap her other hand over it. The gesture looked like somebody trying to get ketchup out of a bottle. I blushed a few times during that relationship...

Re: Pet Names
I totally forgot about this until now. My grandfather called me dimples. I have dimples when I smile. I always smiled around him, he was a great man that is missed very much.My father used to love it when I was little and would use it once in a while as well. Why is it the great mend leave this world way to early. If it wasn't for this thread I don't think I would have thought about that or that memory of either of them. It made me smile today.
