Back in the day, growing up in Washington state, it was pop. Living more than half my life in Tucson, its been soda. Just 2 one word ways to say soda pop. I think its a regional thing like you all, and ya'll. Mano se mano.

Kam and I go through this all the time. It's SODA! If you ask for a pop here you will get a lollipop. When I say soda he looks at me and laughs. Then we go through the sneakers vs tennis shoes argument and it goes on from there.lol

Pop. One syllable is easier to spit out than 2. Besides, if you order soda, don't you you get club soda?

Re: whats on the grill
Yeah, what Kam said. Pop is pop. Soda is club soda. Coke is Coca Cola, it doesnt mean every carbonated soft drink. And anyone that thinks Coke and Pepsi are the same isnt right. I rarely drink it, but if I order a Pepsi and am asked "Is Coke Ok?" No, its not ok. I'll take water instead

Re: whats on the grill
Well......... You're all wrong!!!! Hahahaha!! I couldn't resist saying that. Because The Shadow knows you say, I'd like a soft drink!! Not pop; not soda; or soda pop!! If you say soft drink, then you're open to explore the options ... Do you serve, Coca-Cola, or Pepsi products? Or something else. Now my preferences lie with the Coca-Cola products eventhough I grew up drinking Pepsi. And now you know the rest of the story! Good Day!!

Re: whats on the grill
I rarely drink soda but if I had to chose between Pepsi and Coke I prefer Pepsi. I liked when the " soda truck" came around once a week and we would give him the old seltzer bottles and he would give us new ones and whatever syrup we wanted. I liked making cherry coke with cherry syrup and coke syrup and seltzer. We used to make something call egg creams. That is with chocolate syrup milk and seltzer. Its a Brooklyn thing. I also remember when we had an upset stomach we would be given a teaspoon or tablespoon can't remember which of coke syrup. Yum!

How did "What's On The Grill?" get to here? Is it because we're grilling each other on what to call soft drinks?

The Star Trek episode was good, and I was craving asparagus. I had a bit left, sorry I was rude and not sharing,But when I sleep to movies its a total commitment to snoozefest, next time just take what you want,And shove me and tell me stop it! if I snore to loud and ruin the movie . I would tell you an ice cueb down my tee shirt usually stops the snoring but if I dont wake up it might cause a serious case of frostbite lol...

Re: whats on the grill
I took haddock and rubbed it in olive oil, put tomatoes and olives on top, sprinkled it with garlic powder, oregano, parsley and romano cheese. Wrapped in in foil and threw it on for about 15 minutes. Yep, that worked out pretty good.

You probably weren't asking me, because I know you dont like olives. Mine's a gas grill, but it shouldnt matter. Considering it's wrapped in foil, you could actually do it in the oven too. I did 'tent" the foil to retain the moisture
