Terms of use
(I'm sorry, but this needs to be done)
On any site where you create an account, in order for your account to be accepted requires you to agree to the terms of use for that site, and electronically "sign" a membership aggreement(usually by clicking on an "I agree" box)
The forum has rules and terms of use. Any site that has forums with rules require moderators.
Any conflicts in the forums will get a warning posted in that thread from a moderator asking everyone involded to please back off and knock it down a notch. If the conflict continues and/or escalates after that, the thread will be locked.
Debating and discussing is fine. If you cannot discuss or debate without losing control and resorting to personal attacks and/or name calling you will have given us no choice but to decide on some further action.
If you disagree with any action a moderator has taken or have any concerns regarding any post in the forum then please write us. We will work with resovling any problems, concerns or complaints.
It really is just that simple.

Re: Terms of use
Why the hell did you open this by saying you're sorry? Everything you listed are not just Terms of Use, but also common courtesy and common sense. No apologies necessary!

Re: Terms of use
Well thank you, the "sorry" is for all of you who really don't need to be reminded.
I appreciate ya'all so much,
We all have tempers to some degree and buttons that can be pushed. We all have a full keyboard with the entire alphabet and we all know plenty of derogatory phrases and terms and we all know plenty of bad names and cuss words.
I see your ability to express your opinions in a civil calm way as a great strength and your self control shows strong character. That is admired and respected not only by me personally, but by your fellow members as well.

Re: Terms of use
oh just about asking Before hitting the old Private chat button, but it might be a waste of time as they don't ask anyway. some sites do use it as chat etiquette.

Re: Terms of use
Yeah, that is a bit of an annoyance, sometimes all I want to do is pop into the chatroom to kick out someone, as soon as I enter, I have to deal with a ton of pop up private messages.
I've learned that on those rare occasions when I do go to the chatroom, I head straight for the settings and turn off the instant message so anyone wanting to private message me has to ask me in the public area first.

Less literal; Cockney Rhyming Slang Chazzy
I also love Spoonerisms (named after Rev Spooner of New College, Oxford: "You have hissed all my mystery lectures. You have tasted a whole worm. Please leave Oxford on the next town drain." . Kenny Everett's on-screen character Cupid Stunt is the equivalent to a Sir Anthony...

Re: Terms of use
Mr Van Dyke has done allot of interviews over the years making fun of himself and his bad cockney accent in that movie. He's an amazing guy really.
I've got some references to the mentions you gave me bookmarked and will read up a bit when I can, I do love looking up things ya know.
Quite a life Everret had, looking forward to reading a bit more on him.
(Since we are done with the serious intentions of this post, I absolutely don't mind meandering off topic here!)

Re: Terms of use
In Britain, his attempt at a Cockney accent in Mary Poppins (1964) is so notorious that a "Dick Van Dyke accent" is an accepted slang term for an American's unsuccessful attempt at a British accent. Despite that, he is quite popular in Britain.(IMDB).

Re: Terms of use
I, and I'm sure most of us...would just love to have 5tar start an ongoing thread, where Americans and UKers can ask and answer myths, truths and misconception we may have about each other.
Could lead to great discussions, and 5tar would be a top choice for authoring it I think.
(If he doesn't read this on his own, someone nudge him this way)
