I do that all the time. DVR the show and then burn it on to a DVD and edit out all the commercials. I have a Samsung combination VHS/DVD player, recorder. They're typically under $200 now. They used to be double that. You can dub your old VHS tapes onto DVD. You can also burn from your camcorder onto DVD. Ive even seen re-furbished ones at Big Lots for under $100

They make them show the program in color now to Perv....its the latest thing

i was looking at sony stuff a few years ago,dvd/vhs and dig tuner . think it was 350 or so at best buy. dvr doesnt burn to disk, it has a hard drive that holds so many. thats fine but ya cant take one out and stickit in the one in the bedrooom.been working on firefox it can down load high dif to the hd and then burn to disk havent worked the bugs out yet, and cant read too good anymore. lost a lot of sight lately
