Re: 34 cars
Ive never understood the concept of driving a car onto a frozen lake. People do such stupid things and when they get them selves in trouble for their stupidity, some one else has to come and put their life in jeopardy to try and save their sorry asses. Ya cant fix stupid.

Re: 34 cars
you would think that someone would of figgerd it out ya cant make a parking lot on the lake, all parked in the same place. we were drilling holes the ice was 28 inches or so, most if the time for this time of year it be 30 to 35 inches. old farmers tells safe ice thicknesss.lots of folk are getting in to trouble though plain stuppid ness. getting stck on ice flows and cars and trucks going though and folks dieing over it a lot this year
as for crashes there good as long as no one gets killed or even hurt as in any sport

Re: 34 cars

Check the auto-mobiles for full coverage insurance. Then check the holes and make sure they aren't drilled around the parking lot of cars...

Yes, The Daytona 500 was halted for 2 hours due to a fiery explosion caused when Juan Pablo Montoya slammed into a jet dryer under caution.
Montoya was driving well behind the rest of the field when something on his car broke, and he started sliding out of control toward the truck, which holds 200 gallons of jet kerosene.

Re: 34 cars
I know that people accidently end up in unfortunate situations.
However, I think that most of these people needing rescued should have to pay for those expenses. DRiving out on ice after they've been warned not to. Climbing Mt. Hood in winter. There's many more examples too.

Re: 34 cars
you ain't seen anything until you've seen a group of Hispanic people ice fishing on the river, with their truck half on the river, and half on shore. i saw this as i crossed the bridge over the Minnesota River in my town, on the other side of the bridge, there was open water....
