it's about damn time!
FINALLY...i got my taxes done, for the first time in 5 years since my divorce, i'm getting a refund from both State and Federal. granted, it's only $55 for each one, but it beats paying in. plus i'm getting A nice renter's credit refund.

You really shouldn't let it go because they can go after you for many more years if you owe them money but if they owe you a refund its a limited time you can get it from them.It really is easier to do your taxes than most people think. Don't let it intimidate you. Do it yourself unless you have a lot of complicated things going on. I had all kinds of deductions and legal things going on and still did them myself most of my life.Most people can do it for free online with the software they have these days. Those tax places like HR Block and all those other store front places are known for ripping people off.

i get mine done for free. it's done by AARP (they do it for retired people, and low income). there's three preparers, and they all check each others work.
