I always loved to draw, & won many contests in school, & sold a few cartoons to magazines, (BTW, Larry Flynt is a cheap SOB, he only pays $50 for freelance cartoons, even Readers Digest pays more) I always dreamed of being a cartoonist, but at the time, to get a contract, you had to live in Los Angeles or New York, thats no place for a farm boy from Kansas. Now days with computers & fax machines, i'm sure things are different, but after sitting in a Air Force Jet, my life took a different course
