Potty phone
I'm not anti-cell phone, though I may sound so at times. I'm just anti-bad manners. Cell phones are great, cell phones have solved crimes and saved lives. In all they are a great bit of technology
I just read the results of a survey of cell phone users.
Potty phone.
Very high percentage of those surveyed make a point of taking their cell phones to public bathroom.
Why?
So, how many of you use your cell phone while on the commode, and how many of you find it irritating to want to quietly and privately deal with a biological necessity without a phone conversation going on in every stall?

Re: Potty phone
Anderson Cooper did a segment on testing for bacteria. His own cell phone was swabbed and fecal strep identified.
And no, I don't sit on the toilet and talk on the phone. So, for any of you who think that is a turn on, sorry!

I do not believe in distracted bathroom going. I need to focus on what I'm doing

Re: Potty phone
If you mean public bathrooms. I have gone to the ladies room to use my phone so not using it at the dinner table or during a movie etc. I do not use it in a stall. I will use it by the sink or in the little rooms many ladies rooms have with couches and chairs. (Yes, we have sitting rooms in them. )
This is not new. Since people got cordless phones they have done studies that show most (even if you don't admit it)will use their phone in the bathroom at times. I know of several homes and hotels that have a phone (corded) installed right by the toilet. That speaks volumes to me.That only happens when there is a demand for it.The other thing that proves the point that people are using their cell phones and cordless phones in the bathroom is how many cell phones and cordless phones have been dropped in the toilet.I can name at least 10 people that I have come across that have done it some more than once.

Re: Potty phone
I don't like being forced to hear someone else's phone conversation, especially in a public bathroom.

Re: Potty phone
I was just talking to my daughter about cell phone use in public and some of the weird things people say or do. I once got stuck behind this woman who had been on her phone the entire time we were in the store. She was load to say the least. Then we happen to get on line about the same time. She kept talking loudly about very inappropriate things including saying how she has a real road rage issue. I couldn't stand it anymore and I made some smart ass comment. She had the nerve to say the following. "Don't listen to my conversation, this is a private conversation." To which I responded "Then try having it in private because we really don't want to hear about how fucked up you are!" The people on line just started laughing and a couple applauded.

Re: Potty phone
I take mine to the potty with me. My mother will yell my name over and over again without fail as soon as sit on the throne. I figure it saves my voice not having to scream through the door and down the stairs, "WWWWWHHHHHHAAAAATTTT!!!"
It's worth the dime it cost...

Re: Potty phone
it seems to be becoming the normal thing to do, especially in the work place, since many companies are starting to crack down on cell phone use while on the job. fortunately most of the people doing this are youngsters, and they are texting on the toilet, which is understandably a little less offensive to some.

You don't have napkins to make it sanitary?
