Male facial hair
I'll start this off by saying that I know that some women like facial hair and some don't. I've grown out a beard over winter break, and want to do something with it at some point in the next couple days. I'd like to ask for input for ideas of what to do. If there's useful input, I'll post another picture of the end product.
I've posted a picture of what it is now as my main profile picture.

It's hard for me to make a comment. My ex had a beard part of the time. My dad always wore a mustache, and sometimes a goatee.

i have enough hair to nest squirrels,have a full beard for a long time,i keep it long in winter ...i look like Santa....lol kids still look at me funny. my wife likes my beard

Hmmmm....just looked up "beard styles", I dunno know for sure, a barber or hairdresser has training in finding the right style for each face but I'm kinda leaning towards the "Hollywoodian" or the "short boxed beard" for you

I've had most styles of facial hair. Had a full beard for around 20 years. Kept it long and short. Now I have a goatee that is well trimmed. The mustache will never go away, but it is always possible the goatee may disappear, someday.

For me it is like a hair style on your head. Some people look good with a beard and some don't. The style also depends on many things just as your hair on your head haircut would. The shape of your face, the color in comparison to your hair on your head, if it grows in full or with bald spots,your skin type can play a part as well as the hair type of your beard and mustache. For example curly or straight,soft or brassily etc..I don't usually like very long beards especially if the man is not good about grooming and maintenance. I do love a good beard on the right face. I tend to like well trimmed, close to the face styles, on most men they tend to look more sophisticated. Kam has a goatee and I love it. Besides the look it has some other benefits as many women can tell you.
Going by your profile picture I would suggest you just trim it close and keep it well trimmed and clean.(Nothing worse than a man who has stuff in his beard or mustache while trying to talk to them. Also you want it to smell nice so again clean is important.)Shampoo, condition and brush/comb just like the hair on your head.And yes sometimes even hair products to tame the beast!
I always recommend that you go to a professional to have it trimmed properly the first time when you first grow it in.(Make sure you go to someone who has knowledge of how to shape a beard and mustache. Not all hair stylists do.) They will shape it properly and evenly. At least you then have a guide line to follow and most will teach you how to keep it up.I always laugh when you see the guys who obviously did it themselves and had a hard time making it even.I have seem more than one man come out clean shaved after taking weeks to grow a full beard and mustache and during the trimming process they just have to keep trimming more and more to try to even out their mistakes until they either wind up with a pencil style or nothing at all. You should also invest in a beard and mustache trimmer. Many come with an ear and nose trimmer and you can find them at a reasonable cost. It is much easier than trying to trim and keep it even with scissors.
You do look good in a beard and mustache.
Keep this type of thread up and next I will tell you the importance proper ear, nose, hand and foot grooming. What is with guys that have nasty hands and feet?You guys would go running if we let our hands and feet get cracked and nasty.Besides it can be a health issue for many people.

Well, seems everyone else posted after I went ahead and did it. I just stayed with the goatee I've had for years and shaved everything else off. Classes starting Monday, so my time on here will most likely be limited. I'll always make time for messages if anyone wants to send me those.
