Gold Rush
The tv show on Discovery channel. Turns out that one of the mines has 2 people from North Dakota. The elder one from Minot. Yup, he lost his house to the flooding.
I decided I like watching the show because it makes my life seem like it doesn't suck as much---lol

Been following the show since it's first season, The Dakoata guy, Dakato Fred was the villian, he had his eye on the claim the Hoffman rookies were mining and this season did a bit of a claim jump on them.
This season, the Hoffmans move up north into the Klondike and they seem to be trying to humanize Dakota Fred more, make him less hated.

was watching that one too , they were using a back hoe to dig down to the bed rock , the hole was filling with water too fast the pump went , had to borrow one before the snow came and shut it down for winter, washed a lot of dirt and the bucket were worth more then what was in them.....
