What a talent. We missed a lot of good stuff, and that sucks.

Seriously. Double Fantasy was, and still is a Masterpiece of work. I can only imagine what we missed out on in the subsequent years. And who knows? That may have even included a Beatles re-union.

Re: The Day The Music Dies
Well, The Beatles were officially formed in 1960, which would have made you 2. I dont think you would have been able to get into the Cavern Club

I know I'll be stoned for heresy, but it might not have been as good as you're imagining. Since they split we've had:
The Frog Chorus from Paul
Voices in Thomas The Tank Engine from Ringo

The crazy part of them is part of the creativity. But could you imagine if John had lived and gotten into Rap or something like that? OMG! I think my brain just had a mini aneurysm even joking about that. lol
I remember the day John was killed. My brother was right there at or by the Dakota when it happened and he called me and asked if I had heard what happened. It is the only time I ever heard him cry over someone dieing that wasn't a family member. He has never been a person who gave a damn about fame. He works with some of the biggest "celebrities" in the world. But that day he was devastated. He said he felt like he lost a close friend or family member.

No, I can't IMAGINE (there's no heaven), and none of the others did. I can't imagine for a minute, He stood up for so many of his ideals, I can't see him going for that crap!!

Re: The Day The Music Dies
I have no problem with Ringo being the voice of Thomas or the Conductor. No different than when these guys going on Sesame Street. They do things for kids all the time. Thomas the tank was a great kids show. I remember Princess Diana coming to FAO Schwarz (An iconic toy store in the US) to promote the first British toy line "Thomas the Tank" to be carried by them. I think it was a great way to get the show to be popular. Put one of England's biggest names on it.Many of these big names think they are above that kind of stuff. I give him credit for not being like that. Most big names that do commercials or stuff like this do it in places like Japan so people over here don't hear about it so it wont ruin their image.
