I was working on a paper and came across some expressions. What are some expressions you use, or have heard. For example, "A watched pot never boils." Or, "If you lay down with dogs, you get fleas."
I think everyone knows of some.

Expression I don't use, but have heard all my life, and do understand is "Can't cut the mustard anymore"
(The reference to mustard is mustard grass or mustard weed, it's aggressive and invasive, difficult to cut back once it takes hold)
