Cell phone poll
Saw a poll this morning online, revised it a bit to post here.
You're having a face to face conversation with someone and your cell phone rings. Do you....
Answer it and stop the conversation with the person you're talking to.
Ignore the phone (or let it go to voicemail) and keep talking to the person.
Answer the phone with a "hey, can I call you back?" and then continue with the face to face conversation.

Re: Cell phone poll
That would depend on who was calling as well as who I was in front of. Typically, I would just ignore it and return the call. If it's something important, I would simply say, "Excuse me, but I really need to take this".

I am with the Sleaz on this one...another issue is if I am officially meeting with someone. I cannot stand someone who is meeting with me and is also checking their emails and calls on their phone.

Re: Cell phone poll
I seldom even carry my cell phone. It is not attached to my body. Unless I were expecting a call, I would ignore it.
Also, I am not 21, I don't walk and text, sit in a restaurant and text, or go to a bar and text. I really don't like the whole texting thing at all. And got news for you, if a friend and I were having a dinner or lunch and they spent 25% of that time on the phone or texting, I would either leave, or throw their phone across the room.

My kid's school has a different ring tone and/or alert so I know if it is one of them...kids first, always.

Re: Cell phone poll
I would have to see who it was first. Then either answer it or send straight to voice mail.

Re: Cell phone poll
If im talking to someone, or having dinner, unless i see its a number that really is a emegency, i will ALWAYS ignore it, its rude to chat on the phone when ur sposed to be visiting with the person ur with, It annoys me, ppl having dinner, chatting on the phone, as if i wanna hear the entire conversation of who they are chatting with,
