There's an ad that that says this---
Woman--- My friend told me her husband thinks that Sunday is for watching football.
Man--- [who eventually calls the guy an idiot] What a fool he is. Everyone knows Sunday is for watching NASCAR races.

Hubs was just commenting the other day about ads, we were discussing how most portray the wife/woman as a know-it-all and condesending, while the husband/man is portrayed as a clueless dolt.

It is the target audience that dictates how the talent acts in the commercial. If they are after women they certainly wont do a spot with wimpy barbie looking and Stepford acting women in the spot.That being said sometimes the clients don't
really understand their target audience and insists on a degrading commercial to women.Car dealers were famous for this. The tend to pull them fast.
