New Members...
Many moons (and years) ago we had a bit of a campaign to get the new members into the forums. A few VIPs would send a welcome note, different than the standard one WN sends, the note encouraged participation in the forums and brought some new perspectives to our chit chats.
If you are new to the site and just stopping by, say hello, we are a friendly group and only bite if you ask us to.

Re: New Members...
Very good! In my own way, have tried to encourage others to participate here. Actually, I've been here 1 year ago today. (ya, I know, "Now go away" NOT! BS aside, a year ago, the forums were very active, I have my own thought's as to what's happened, but that aside, there's alway's hope.

Re: New Members...
When I'm able to and have the time, I'll spend hours sending notes to everyone on the "Who's online List" encouraging them to check out the forums and chatrooms.
It takes allot of time, I have to know I'll have the time to not only send the notes but also be able to reply back.
I'm really sorry I have not been able to do this lately.

Re: New Members...
A good way, for non-vips and vips to encourage those noobs, is in the profile and photo review forum.
Now I know, this can be difficult, so many noobs rush in and ask the ole "How's my dick look" Our late Liz had a talent for that forum, she was fantastic at being able to post something sincere to anyone's new post there. I myself am not that talented. (Liz of course, was just an amazing woman)
But the photo review forum and the introductions forum is often the noob's first post, and any response can be very encouraging.
When I do send out notes, I explain the chatrooms, how one is just for casual chat and in the forums, we talk about anything like music, movies, hobbies. This does ease a noob a bit knowing that will not be expected to jump right into a sexually charged discussion. Most men want that, but some men are a bit shy and women don't want to be ambushed by a stamped of sexual text. So, it's helpful to let them know they have options.

Re: New Members...
Ha! I do remember long ago, you mentioning that the word "member" made you snicker.
