I am so sorry, I have lost both of my parents now also and it is very difficult. Free is right, which is rare, you need to try to take care of yourself through rest and eating well. So sorry...

thanks every one. shortly after she was diagnosed in April, my brother had a dream. he was in my parents home town, and saw a station wagon like my dad used to drive. the couple was snuggling in the front seat, and as my brother walked past and could see inside, the couple was my mother and father having been reunited.

That is very sweet! We had the opposite concerns after my Dad's accident. We all laughed that God had hired a SWAT team to negotiate my Dad's entrance to heaven, my parents divorced while I was in college and it wasn't pretty.
The best gift we have of them is wonderful memories. It sounds as if your family is blessed with those. My family is very funny so there has always been a great deal of laughter even through the sadness. As Dolly Pardon said in Steel Magnolias, "Laughter through tears is my favorite emotion."

That was fast! Everything happens for a reason and not in our time, but Gods time. Again, I am glad you have your family around you for support, something I did not have. I hope you living situation works out for you as well, and just know how blessed you are for having been there for her.

well, for now, the living arrangements are good. i started a new job a few weeks ago, and will make more than enough to pay rent here.
