Favorite halloween treat
From candy you buy to snacks you make, what are some of your favorites. Mine are butter fingers, reeses and snickers

Re: Favorite halloween treat
All candy is good candy. My dad was one who really had a sweet tooth. He liked Snickers. I like them all, just not all the time.
Although, I prefer European chocolates. Ritter is one I found by accident. Also, I've already checked on picking up a box of dark chocolate brandy covered cherries for my girl friend. The best are Weinbrand Bohnen, or Asbach.
I like dark chocolate, white chocolate, flavored chocolate like with orange or raspberry, and organic chocolate.

Re: Favorite Halloween treat
Candy bars are not something I really eat except for Plain Hershey's chocolate or Kit Kat's. I also liked M&M's. The only other "candy" I might eat is Jolly Ranchers watermelon or cherry.
Side note:Hershey's as well as many other company's have been changing the recipes for their chocolate and they are not as good as they used to be with a few exceptions of the things they haven't changed yet.Because of the growing prices of cocoa they have gotten sweeter and less "cocoa" taste. I don't like that sweet even though I eat milk chocolate. I have to admit that some European chocolates, Belgium chocolates are much better. Trader Joe's actually sells a large chocolate bar (1 lb I believe)that is pretty good. Its Belgium chocolate. There are some Israeli chocolates that are good and Godiva is still pretty good. There is a "sweet shop" locally that makes their own chocolate, theirs is pretty good as well.
These companies have to understand that although no one likes paying more for things, many of us would rather pay more and get the quality, than pay less and get crap that doesn't taste good. For example : M&M's really are not nearly as good as they used to be and it's a huge difference so I started buying other things.
