A Real Woman
I was watching an old TV show and the husband found and pulled out a gray hair from his wife's head announcing, "Now you're a woman."
This has made me curious, what, how, or when do we become women? Is it our age, a rite of passage, when we become married?
I've never really thought of my as a "WOMAN." I think I still think of myself as a crazy teen, or twenty year old running amuck.

Re: A Real Woman
i think what makes you a woman is when you do everything for your family and your husband because it takes a real women to run a house hold and keep it all running right age don't have anything to do with it its when you realize that you have more important things in you life than the next pair of shoes or that trip to the bar.. so people never realize that and they just party their life's away and eventually they regret it..

So, in your thoughts she would have to be a wife and a mother with duties and responsibilities. What if she were one but not the other? A wife with no children, or a mother without a husband?
What if she had those new pair of black shoes, went to the bar and still took care of those around her? For example, a parent, friends, or other relative? Then would she be a real woman ?

More important than shoes? At least he didn't say boots or I might be in trouble. LOL
I feel its an individual thing that is really to complex to say in a few sentences for the most part. But I do believe most people know that its a state of mind and responsibility. NO you don't have to be a mother or wife or even run a house to be a women. Mother Teresa certainly did none of those things but she was a women. Most real women do know how to prioritize the real important things in life and rarely put themselves first but also understand they need to make time for themselves to keep balance.

Re: A Real Woman
I think becoming authentic about who you are and not being concerned with what others around you think is the first step. Being a woman is whenyou are just as happy to be alone as you are in a room full of people. Loving yourself and being satisfied whith where you are in life is so important. I don't think there is a test or a chore that makes you a woman so much as a feeling. Hitting your stride, whether you are the responsible Mom, the girl who still enjoys herself by having fun, or someone curled on the couch reading a book. It is about being able to face adversity knowing "this to shall pass" and understanding that drama is passe' and you don't need any part of it.
Life is good when we look for the good in it. Being a woman is about pacing yourself and enjoying the ride.
