Wieght control
After almost a week in the hospital a few short months ago, kinda serious, but survived, once again, dammit. Was put on a pretty strict diet for a while, and amazingly, lost lbs, and the little mid-body bulge I had gotten in the 3 year's since my early retirement. It was really quite easy. I watched the trans and poly fats, almost totally sugar free, no between meal snacking or after dinner snacks. I found it very sensible, and non-fanatical. What I'm saying, is eating like that, actually got me back to a more natuaral wieght for me. This is no new or revolutionary thing, just logical, and worked for me, and may for most who desire to shed a couple pounds. Hope this helps others. Love to ya, The perve.

Re: Weight control
GGRrrrrr, MEN!!! Make me sick!! My male cousin lost 30 lbs in six weeks, very simply. He just cut out something, or cut back a little.
I see little people eat twice as much as I do, and I see some people just make pigs of themselves. When I am hungry I eat, there is no set time, which isn't great. I don't eat large portions, but I eat what I crave. When I'm starving I eat a little bit more.
Glad you are back to your svelte self, Perve.

Kiss you look like you have nothing to worry about in the weight dept.
I work in a kitchen and have managed to loose 30lbs when everyone said I would gain weight. For me it is about portion control. Smaller portions but I eat whatever I want. I am just a few lbs shy of my high school weight.

Re: Wieght control
I just came across this today, and will share if for all those not very sure.
A while back, at the entrance of a gym, there was a picture of a very thin and beautiful woman . The caption was "This summer, do you want to be a mermaid or a whale?"
The story goes, a woman (of clothing size unknown) answered the following way:
"Dear people, whales are always surrounded by friends (dolphins, seals, curious humans), they are sexually active and raise their children with great t...enderness.
They entertain like crazy with dolphins and eat lots of prawns. They swim all day and travel to fantastic places like Patagonia, the Barents Sea or the coral reefs of Polynesia.
They sing incredibly well and sometimes even are on cds. They are impressive and dearly loved animals, which everyone defend and admires.
Mermaids do not exist.
But if they existed, they would line up to see a psychologist because of a problem of split personality: woman or fish?
They would have no sex life and could not bear children.
Yes, they would be lovely, but lonely and sad.
And, who wants a girl that smells like fish by his side?
Without a doubt, I'd rather be a whale.
At a time when the media tells us that only thin is beautiful, I prefer to eat ice cream with my kids, to have dinner with my husband, to eat and drink and have fun with my friends.
We are not fat, we are greatly cultivated.
Every time I see my curves in the mirror, I tell myself: "How amazing am I ?! "

Re: Wieght control
I will admit, I had a head start before the hospital. A few days prior, could'nt anything down. I was a sick puppy, too weak to stand, and they had the bed alarmed, when I did. But they came and picked up. Just a male thing, we all think we're tough. lol (not really funny at the time)(place dumb-ass critter here)

Re: Wieght control
LOL I get it Kiss. Most men lose weight so easy compared to women it frustrates most of us women. I don't think they really understand that it is different for us.
Men also don't have children and have everything about their body change and then are expected to get back to our old shape in a couple of months.
I have been VERY skinny and pretty big and somewhere in between. I am lucky in the sense that I don't put weight on to easily most of the time. But I also don't lose it ever either.I do put on weight like crazy when I am pregnant. With the exception of my last one because I was to sick so I just threw up everything I ate not to mention had several other issues so I actually came out 5 pounds less after having her. lol
Kam just said to me today that I have to remember I am going to be 50 years old and have many other issues as well so basically to get over it .lol
I was a huge work out fiend until my kids and then accident. My accident was a few months after I had my daughter and I was unable to work out after I had her due to a torn muscle courtesy of my daughter and my third c-section that my doctor wanted to make sure I healed from as well as a few other issues from pregnancy problems.
I am not a dieter at all. I loved working out. I loved going to the gym. I was a gymnast from the time I was very young until the day I found out I was pregnant with my first baby.I even managed a gym for a while.I was shocked at how much of a toll pregnancy took on my body.I was even more shocked at the fact that I never got back to my old body. I couldn't get back because my body changed. My doctor told my my pelvis shifted when I was pregnant . I remember saying "Can it do that?". I really thought I was going to leave the hospital and get back into my jeans. NOPE! Not after the weight I put on and the lovely unexpected emergency C-section with my first.
All I can say is after 3 c-sections, a torn stomach muscle, torn ligament in my knee, herniated discs in my back, and neck and various nerve damage and multiple other injuries and my age, I know I will never be skinny again and even if I were my body is different so it wouldn't be the same.I have learned to just enjoy and be content for the most part with how I am and I don't obsess over it anymore.I don't expect to be larger either so I just enjoy life and try to be somewhat healthy. (I don't want to have another heart attack. They kind of suck!)

Re: Wieght control
i've dropped about 20 pounds or so, over the last two months. it's pretty simple, i stopped drinking so much soda pop. i used to drink two or more 20oz bottles a day. and at work, the pop was free for employees, and there were many nights that i'd drink 5 or 6 glasses over the course of my shift.
now, i drink one or two bottles a week, if that. and at work, i've been drinking, mostly water, with a few glasses of soda or iced tea over a weeks time.

Re: Wieght control
LNH You remind me of that commercial where they have the cartoon man and woman. The women cartoon character says my husband and I are trying to loose weight. We both stopped drinking soda for 2 months. I lost 1 pound, he lost 20 pounds!
I think every women can appreciate that commercial. Even on diet plans ,men can always eat more and they lose weight faster. I am not blaming you guys, but it drives most of us women crazy.lol
