for those of you that didn't know...
my mother was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer just before Easter. her time on earth will coming to an end very soon. my family and i, and mom's dr. will be discussing the future soon. two of my sisters and i have discussed the probability of a nursing home stay, right now, she and i are sharing a house. but as her cancer gets worse, she'll need more around the clock care, that none of my family or myself can do. this means i may be gone for awhile until after i sort out what to do and where i'm going to live...i can't afford the rent here, by myself.

Deeply sorry to learn of your latest news regarding your mother. You have my thoughts and prayers. I as you may know have been helping my mom with my dad's care since he is 3+ years into his lung cancer and 1+ years into his kidney dialysis treatments. It sucks to see a parent ill. I wish you and your family the best through this time; and especially wish your mother God's gracious love and care in whatever time she has remaining. Hang in there buddy we are all pulling for you.

So sorry to hear things got that bad hon.
I have been there with both my parents and it hurts like hell, but you will be able to look back one day and know you cared for her deeply and that she knew that you did.
One of most honest and treasured gifts we have to give to others is some of time unselfishly devoted to their needs

just an update...she was admitted to the hospital this afternoon. she has a urinary tract infection, and needs more care than my sisters and i can deal with at the moment. she'll be there for a few day, and most likely will do a spell of time at the the nursing home too, might end up a permanent thing, but we're not sure yet. the doctors and nurses will take better care of her.

mom's going to be transferred to the nursing home tomorrow, she thinks it's gonna only be for a couple of days, but i'm pretty sure she won't be coming home. her cancer has spread from he pancreas, to her liver, spleen, and the bottom of her lungs. we've decided to stop the chemo therapy for the time being, because it didn't seem to be doing any good.
on the upside, i have a job interview tomorrow morning, it's through a temp agency, with the probability of being a full time position.

I feel so bad for you and your family. And like Kiss said a few days ago, be prepared to make the hard choices. But most of all, do whats best for your Mom. Not that you wouldnt. Im the executor for my Mom's will and those are days I never want to see.
