How did you come up with your page name?
I'll go first. Any str8 guy, that has a hobby as mine, must be a perve, and believe it or not, I'm a man, (that's up for debte. lol), thus, perveman. Your turn!

I used to own an electrical contracting business "Hotwire Electric" and people used to call me hotwire man, so I shortened it for a vanity license plate and just kinda liked it, thus hot-y-r-mn, hotyrmn

I didn't really think I would stick around I just wanted to check out this site. I figured I could always change it if I did decide to stay. So I Tried Newbie101 (The 101 as in an beginner or introductory class)but it was taken so I added another 1.By the time I decided I would stick around to many people knew me by this name and figured it would be confusing and stupid to change it to one of the screen names I normally use on other sites.

Darkshadow459 - my name comes from the title of the old late 60's-early 70's gothic soap opera, Dark Shadows. The title character, was a 200+ year old vampire, named Barnabas Collins. Since I worked for 30 years as a medical lab technician, in the medical field we are often referred to as the "blood suckers, or vampires". Thus the name. On other sites I visit there were other dark shadows so I picked a random number. When people want to know what the number means I often say it's my age. I'm a 459 year old vampire. Lol. Also in the police field, a 4-5-9 is often the code number of a "break-in". So how poetic is it that dark shadows break into an environment such as this site.  BTW, there was one revival of the series in the 90's. Along with a couple of movies in the 70's. Currently Johnny Depp is working on a movie based on the series. I think it's due out sometime next year.

What a coinsedence (I know kiss sp. Again!), soap operas came up yesterday, so I googled a list of them. Some of them started on radio, then to tv. Actually one I noticed, lasted 77 years. Referring to myself, my deal could be called "One life to live." Oops  hey, hey perve, if you want to start a new topic for threading, ok, but don't hijack this one. Ok.

I was a member of another totally different site years ago as gandalph, and they changed their system, chat client and so on. I went to log in one day and wasn't allowed. It said Name already taken...."Duh yeah, that was me!"...I just twisted it around a bit and went to Grandelf. That's it!

Sadly lacking in imagination on the day I joined up and thinking I probably wouldn't be staying long - it was my age at the time and a twist on my name.
Although it makes it easy to call on me in a chat room I Kind of wish I had gone with other things xx
