Playing with spammer's
In my personal email, I received the usual "hard luck" storey. I'm playing along for my amusement. We message each other daily. Has anyone else done this? And, when this comes to an end, and I deliver my final "punch line", do others think I may open myself up to "somebody(s)", sending a virus in retaliation? But I'm getting a chuckle out of it. Ya know, feeding her bull _ _ _ _, promises, nasty pics and text, the usual play along stuff. Watcha think?

Oh yes, telemarketers. Thats easy. Ask them to hold on, after a period of time, they're gone. Beautiful thing huh?

Re: Playing with spammer's
My brother had a good way of dealing with telemarketers.--
He'd answer the first couple questions, then set the phone on the counter quetly. Check back in half an hour and see if they were still there.
I've been tellin some of the Nigerian scammers to go ahead and send the money. My bank said it was ok but the bank needed them to send a good faith payment of $20 before the other transaction.

Re: Playing with spammer's
The FTC had an e-mail address at one point to forward all spam e-mail messages with ties to other countries (Nigeria, China, India, etc.). I don't know if it's still up. As for telemarketers, my cell phone is on the National Do Not Call Registry, so I get their information, inform them they're in violation, hang up on them, and then report them to the feds. One kept calling me nearly daily. I kept reporting them to the feds. I also had one pose as a research company, so I went along with what they had to say, then they tried to offer me discounted hotel rates. I told the guy that he was violating it, and HE hung up on ME.

Right you are, Nigeian. Now I know how to play it. They did a little different than others, but I still reconize.

Re: Playing with spammer's
Thx all. Had another email from my spammer, ket them know, my attoney, by law, requires a 50 dollar fee, for Western Union, and precessing, from them first, and I'd supply them with contact info, and where to send. I really do not expect to hear from them again. Well, it was a short lived thing to do during a slow weekend, and served it's purpose, which was occupying some of the perves time. Nasty huh? Well, I did feel a little bad about how I handled it, for how long? Oh, I don't know, NOT! Fun while it lasted. Hope all enjoyed this time with me, vicariousely. (check that spelling, huh)

Re: Playing with spammer's
Good morning all. Just an update. About this spammer (take to long to detail), I'm still having fun playing with them, and looks like I'm about to wrap it up. It's fun as hell, counter-spamming, and messing with them. Am becoming really good at it, an expert if you will. Yuk, yuk, yuk. All have a great day! P.S. I'm about to play my trump card, and they're powerless to do a THING about it. It's a beautiful thing, and it's a lot fun being me.

Re: Playing with spammer's
Just saw something online this morning, some guy likes to take those credit card offers he gets in the mail, rip up the application, stuff them in the postage paid envelope and mail it back....kinda cute, making the pay the postage instead of just throwing them away.

If everyone did that ( I used to do that too) the post office wouldn't be in so much trouble. Maybe we should make it a national campaign to save the post offices...

Re: Playing with spammer's
My family has done the return mail thing in their own return envelope for years. It gets you off the mailing list pretty quick.
You can also go on Do Not Call, Do Not Knock, Do Not Mail lists. There are various lists in different areas. My town has a do not knock list and there is a hefty fine if someone does solicit. The only problem is the not so swift delivery guys , mail men and others that are allowed to knock that see the sticker and are not sure what to do.
They give us a sticker that goes on our door that says "DO NOT KNOCK PENALTY OF $1,500" So one day I see someone standing at my door. It was a delivery guy. I open my door and asked him "Did you knock? I didn't hear you." He says "No, It says I will be fined $1,500 if I did. Your door bell is broken so I wasn't sure what to do." I couldn't help but laugh and then explain that he can deliver to the neighbor hood that it was for solicitors . (Then I had to explain what a solicitor was.lol) The sad thing is I had a UPS delivery guy who did the same thing as the delivery boy.

Re: Playing with spammer's
Well, I handled my spammer, and it was fun as hell. Being the caring and kind person I am, I very "respectfully", hammered them, and explained to them how low in the food chain they are. Just another public service provided by the ole perve. Did I ment.......? Well, I suppose I did.
