Labor Day Weekend
Ah, the long weekend holiday to honor the labor force!
Yeah, we can talk about our weekend plans, where we're going, what we're gonna do, what we're gonna throw on the grill, that' always fun.
But..it'd also be fun to do some other new topics, just stuff like the best and/or worst co-worker you've ever worked with, best/worst boss, best/worst employee, best/worst job, dirtiest job, dream job you wish you had, etc...
Pick something, think of something and please post as a "New Topic"

Re: Labor Day Weekend
Noot sure of my plans this weekend. I had a trip to WI and got to see relatives already this week. Took a side trip to Milwaukee. then came home. About 1200 miles all together.
Oh, and remember I mentioned the Jeep gets 12 mpg? Well, for some reason it's been getting 15-15.8 Not bad for a 4620 lb vehicle. Plus it's EPA rated at 12mpg.

Re: Labor Day Weekend
Looks like a weekend of homework. Not ideal, but necessary. Now if there was a lady out there that would be able to help take my mind off of school for at least a while.......

Re: Labor Day Weekend
The thread is in regards to jobs. My first was at 15 over the summer at the school. We worked with Mr. Garcia, and another man vacuuming & shampooing carpets, cleaning class rooms, and library top to bottom. I worked with my 2 best friends. To tell you the truth, I don't remember how we got the job, we were left unattended most of the time, and laughed most of the day. We were also required to take a class. Not a clue what the class was? We got a credit for the class, and this allowed all 3 of us to have enough credits to graduate a year early.
I was a waitres at Jodi's at 17, while on break from college. Five am serving coffee to all the cowboys. That year I also worked at Taco Bell with my roommate. One day we walked in, immediately a new manager approached us, asked us what the letters in Taco Bell stood for? Not a fucking clue! We were given the choice of quiting or being fired. Our whole crew was let go. I hope that man enjoys HELL.
I continued to waitress, began working as a Nail Tech, employed as a Clerk at the USPS. Catered, bartender... all fun stuff. Then the insurance job, and all the crap and bullshit that went with it.
I think the ideal job would involve travel. The perfect job, Samantha Brown has it. She works for the Travel Channel. She travels the world, and provides reviews for dining, entertainment, beaches, and hotels. I want that bitches job.
My friend said her ideal job would be a food critic, so she could be paid to eat, and eat, and eat. This would not be a good job for her. She has suffered from bulimia in the past. I don't understand people who become full but keep eating, and, eating and eating, then are majorly uncomfortable.
I think this answered the thread. I guess a model might be okay, as long as no one pissed me off and I didn't have to starve myself.

Re: Labor Day Weekend
Right kiss, labor. From 7-13, mowed and cleaned yards. 14, started working in tire stores. Spent many years doing it. Construction, asphalt, tire work, heavy equiment mechanic, drove truck, ran crews, dispatched, and all else. Later years, outside sales for a printing co. and lastly, ran a recycling company, retired early. Worked (labored) hard all my life, paid my due's. I'm done, bye, bye. Problem is, holiday's are just another day to me, nothing to rest up from. Retirement can get boring.

But then again, the crack of dawn excites me. Hey kiss, what time do I deliver? May even bring the the food. Yuk, yuk, yuk. Just be wearing that one piece. (the bottoms as in your pic) Suppose I'll show up dressed as I am. Oh well.
