Back To School
Well, the time is upon me again. I go back to school tomorrow. I really appreciate the conversation and posts to read to pass the time this summer. Unfortunately, I have no idea how often I'll be able to be on here, nor how long I'll be able to be on here, until mid-December. I will always respond to mails, tho, so if you feel so inclined, they will be welcomed. If I get overwhelmed and don't get back on forums for a while, I apologize, but that's the nature of the beast.

I know you have a very heavy and impressive course schedule! Very ambitous. I'm sure you'll do well.
Look forward to seeing you when you are able to log in for a visit.
I thought about this being the year I take a course or two, but nope....doesn't look like it'll be this year.
I'd love to be back in class again.

Dude, I was in there so much that I was elected to a student council position that basically made me a Detention Moderator. I figured, what the hell. If I was going to be in there anyway, why not have the comfortable chair and a little authority? And yeah, it was a pretty liberal High School I went to. There was even a smoking lounge for Seniors.

Ah yes, High school, of school in general. To qualify first, you all know who the popular crowd was, I was NOT. Lets just say, I was "well known" or a reputation, notorious if you will. You know, the had the "bad bov" thing going on. Skip school, and when I did "make a showing", who knows if I was still in a partying mode. Funny the number of teachers etc., "transfered" out. Gee, could'nt have been anything the crowd I ran with did. Perish the thought! We may have been a little "misguided" (by each other?), no way! Surprisingly enough, graduated college to. Proves there is a God, and miracles happen. (Or, just lower education standards. Yuk, yuk, yuk) All have a great school year!  Go team!

The kids would refer to the kids in my classes as"Brainiacs" in our school. My teachers loved me, although I didn't always feel the same.
I was on the gymnastics team,on the chess team and math team,I also played guitar.(what a combination!)So I was around a lot of people and had friends and was considered somewhat popular. Although I did tend to have more friends that were older than me.I don't think I was ever in detention.But did get suspended once. (Long story...) I might be the only high honor student ever to be suspended from school. Buy the way who decided this is a punishment? I got to stay home for 3 days with no homework or classwork and got to sleep late!
I have to say I was very happy to be out of school. I never felt like I fit in. I did then and still feel that there were a few people I really enjoyed spending time with and those few I still have contact with, I never wanted to go to a high school reunion and never will. I would go to my middle school reunion mainly because it was very different(I went to an experimental Intermediate school) and I am just curious about how some people turned out.Although FB has helped me find out about most of them.

i've been to my 5th, 10th, and 20th, 25th will be in 2013, it always amazes me the people that i didn't get along with in school are always the first to say hello. my 20th is what eventually got me to hooked on FaceB...ook. lol

LNH you can't tell me that you haven't run into the ones that were total fuck ups in school and big time pot heads as well as other things I wont mention, and now you see them on FB posting all this Ultra-Conservative crap and acting like they never did that and were so prim and proper when they were younger. I am always tempted to post a few pictures from some old parties and remind them of the "good old day" lol
I always laugh because most people that I went to school or worked with when I was younger or even people that casually know me now think I am/was so conservative and think I never did anything that (Thinking of how to word this....) might have been a bit wild or even illegal in some places. Only my close friends know what I did. I figure that's why I never got in any trouble.I bet I could shock a few people though.lol.

i never said that i haven't run in to those types, and most of my friends admit to what they've done in the past. my classmates weren't potheads, alcohol was the drug of choice at my school. i really couldn't tell ya what happened at those parties that they post about on FB, cuz i was a loner in school, and NEVER partied. after watching what mom and dad went through with my older brothers, i promised myself that i was gonna be the good kid. to this day, i still am not much of a drinker.

I wanted to put this up now that we are either going back to school or have kids going to school.I'm not sure if this will be taken down I hope not. I can't post a web address so I will say to search snopes (you know the rest).
Let everyone you know, learn about that place. There are so many scams ,especially when your kids go off to college and get their first credit cards and bank accounts. Also the holidays spark a big surge in scams as well.
Please Check things on there to see what is bull shit or not. Don't just forward an email because someone said they checked it. That's how many scammers get you to forward things. Also NEVER just "forward to" Always "BCC"(blind carbon copy. So the email addresses don't show ) if you must forward something. You should cut and paste not just forward.This will save everyone from getting spammed to death!
It's not perfect but will help you and you kids and friends get much less junk as well as hopefully keep them and you from getting scammed.
