does anyone actually get lucky here?
I have been on here a long time with alot of talk and no luck in person. Has anyone on here actually had a hook up ?

Yes, some find their one night stand , some find their one and only. We've had people that have found multiple NSA partners, and we've even seen some meet, marry and start families.
What makes these people sucessful at the online dating stuff? It's hard to say. It's a case by case deal.
If what you are doing is not working, then maybe, you should change what you're doing. Maybe it's your approach, your expectations, the type you choose to contact.
The sites have features, like a tool box, you are limited to these tools so you need to learn to use them like a craftsman. (some, we might say are just lucky, they stumble right into something great)

I have a couple times...yet I value the dear friends I've made while I've been here, I cannot say enough about them, the laughs, kindness. I had a great time each time I did meet someone from here...but when that's done, it's done unless the friendship continues...where the ones I know here aren't a part time or one time thing...and that's awesome.

Is luck what you call it? If your trying to find out if people do get together on here then the answer is yes. But just sit back relax, be yourself and enjoy. Most people that push and try to hard don't find anything.
Kam, with you there was no luck involved. It is your sexy , hot and dare I say even a bit evil ways that do it for you. I am not sure you think you got lucky or cursed however? lmao

You also have to be willing to meet someone halfway.. literally. You can't expect the other person to do all the driving. You'll find someone. You just have to do some negotiation. Hope you get lots of  and  soon!

Well as for me the word "lucky" is used just as a term...I don't literally see it as luck at all but two people that meshed in the way they thought, humor etc.

i've met an amazing woman on the site. we've been together on more than one occasion. we've decided to be just friends, though, because of the long distance between us. we try getting together at least once a year, or more. so yes, this site does lead to personal encounters. you just have to be patient, and not rush in to anything. it takes time, the woman i met, well, we started out in the chatroom lobby, chatting every night (almost) for close to a year before we moved to an off site messenger, then a few months later we started discussing meeting in person.

I know we have been kidding a bit but the real deal is it does happen.Not for everyone but it happens. Some people think they come on here and text every women and say "wanna get some?" and that will work. But I have never known that to work.
I am in a relationship with someone I met on here and the IN PERSON part has been going strong for over a year now and I don't see signs of it slowing down at all. I go out to him (Because I don't work) about every 6-8 weeks and spend 10 days to a little over 2 weeks depending on schedules.For us it works.
I know many others have met people on here as well some for casual sex , some for more and some even got married.I know like many others,I have met several people that I now refer to as friends and am hoping to get to meet some of them soon if we can work out the logistics.
LNH is right about taking time. It really is about being yourself and just let things happen naturally without pushing it. Sometimes people are so interested in meeting someone that they forget about having fun and getting to know people.
Just go into the forums and chat rooms and you will start to get a real feel for the people and them for you. As you post people get to know your personality and you theirs, that is the real starting point.If you're able you can send emails as well (If they or you are a VIP).

I have indeed "met" people from here and have also made some really good friends on here. However as someone who does actively meet people that I am interested in I will say I don't rush into it at all.
I have to know someone first and know that we have other interests besides sex. If sex was all I wanted I could just lay out some cash and buy that lol

Today I feel especially lucky. Sometimes people you love say things that make you feel better than they ever know or intend. The fact that it is done without thought and just as part of everyday conversation makes it even more special to me.I really feel it's the little things in life that make us happy, not the grand gestures or expensive gifts or fancy dinners.The only thing that would make it better is if I could be laying next to him in bed right now. I really am a very lucky person in many ways.
