help! i'm new to the forum and PC's and download thing's
Hi i'm new to the forum an new to PC's aswell. please help! i have tried downloading java this evening but failed, haven't got a glue in what im doing or what to expect, 
Sorry for being a drip.
To sum up.
I'm a bit like a snail, that's pushing a log up a hill, and getting nowhere fast.
Not a very good start to my intoduction, so here goe's
I'm a shy chap but i seem to have found my voice via chat message.
I'm unable to travle great distance's but more!! then happy to share naughty message's over these great distance's, pertically if ANAL is your pleasure, staight female's only please

Don't you worry about being new online and with a PC...we all started out that way 
Feel free to ask all the questions you want, plenty of very friendly people here they are happy to help.
What browser are you using for the internet? (Like firefox, explorer, etc...)
The site is more compatible with Microsoft Explorer browser, although we know...it's not at all the favorite to use.
If the Java download failed, can you give us anymore details about what happened there, any type of error message?
Sometimes it's easiest to make sure there isn't any part of the Java on your computer if so you'll want to uninstall, then try download and install again.
I'm not real good with the tech stuff, but the more details you can supply the better, are you running Windows 7 or another operating system? Do you have high speed, wireless, a router, any security or antivirus?
Do what you can to supply some details, and with a little patience and time, I'm sure we all can help you out.

All I have is a dumb cell phone to use, and we know I have a little problem (other thread)  I don't know router from rooter (a little plumbing lingo there). Anyhow, welcome, and all Chazzy said.

Okay, we'll try to get you into the chatrooms...your new computer I'm guessing you still have all the default settings. We'll take our time, and keep it basic and see what we can do for you.
Can you try downloading the java again...jut follow the pop up instructions for "Save to"...and "install"...if you get any error messages, try to jot down a bit of it and come back with it.
When downloading, pay attention to the top of the screen, under the address bar (the bar at the top of explorer where you type in the website you want to go to is the address bar) Make sure a yellowish colored bar doesn't pop up there just under that)
