Ground clearing
I'm talking about things like weeds and grass in a driveway. Also around things I don't care to have a mower or weedeater by. [utilities]
I sprayed some year old roundup on the drive and within a day it was dying and continues to do that but not as fast.
Since i didn't feel like a trip across town for more Roundup, I bought some "Ortho ground clear" I've now overdoesed the remainder of the drive and the other areas twice. STILL no real result.
This has been a public service announcement of OOMG.
Don't waste your money on Ortho.

Re: Ground clearing
Roundup seems to be the best, but Ive noticed that you have to apply it at least twice a season.

Re: Ground clearing
The roundup I had worked really well and lasted ,last year
This Ortho is advertiized as lasting a year. I guess it takes that long to work.

Re: Ground clearing
I knew someone would have a better home remedy. I have a book of all kinds of stuff that you just mix up with things most people have in their homes. I find many of them work better than the expensive chemical stuff we buy.

I think the fire department and my neighbors might have an issue with that. But to be honest it does sound easier than all the raking and crap we have to do.

This is just the driveway I was gonna burn. short weeds and grass. It'd be nice to see all the gravel.

Yep, I've used salt and salt solutions for weeds in the sidewalk and other areas.

Re: Ground clearing
i take the water i boil my brats and whatever in before i grill and poor it on the grass growing in the cracks and the next day the stuff turns brown overnight no salt needed. roundups good too, use to use it in my garden in the spring, spray it all down, let a few daysgo by and roto under. keeps it good till mid summer or longer , may have to spot spray some to keep the weeds down in the fall..

Re: Ground clearing
If you want to give your plants a steroid boost, spray it with epsome salt, it will turn your grass green over night, It makes tomatoes sweet, for houseplants, there is lots of things to use, the water you boil your eggs in is FULL of nutrients, your plants will love it
