The heat
With so many places having almost non-stop record heat, I Thought it'd be nice if we could say good things about it.
It takes less time to heat up or thaw out food.
Butter doesn't take very long to start melting, making it easier to add to baking, mac & cheese, etc.
If you need a warm or hot lunch, just set your food [wrapped of course] on the car. Or, just leave it on the dash a few minutes. This works really well for the Dolly Madison and other "pies"
Laundry takes less time to dry.
Add your own.

Re: The heat
At least we are not complaining about shoveling snow. Remember a few months ago when most of us were digging out on a daily basis.(Don't want to point anyone out in particular BUT, Free was so pissed. lol)

I think he still is.
Got wakened by a storm this am. Damn, wish they didn't do that. Heavy storm too. The rain is good but not so much at once that all it does is run off. [Much like a guy trying to escape from a married womans house]

Re: The heat
My hair doesn't take as long to dry when I get out of the shower.. but with all the humidity it gets a little poufy!
We don't have to tell the cat to come in off the deck more than once.. she wants out of the heat too.
We don't have to mow the grass.. its dead.
I don't have to worry about my purple silicone spatula.. it's heat resistant up to 500 degrees. (don't worry free.. I'm saving the spatula for you! Hey I'm just following Chazzy's orders to pick on you!)
The heat is a great excuse to try new ice cream! We just got this new Turkey Hill Cherry Vanilla... omg! It's good stuff! Tastes home made.
It's a great time to go skinny dipping.. ya know.. to cool off!
The perfect excuse to bring some ice into the bedroom.. love to have some ice on my nipples followed by a warm mouth.

Not sure how ya figger that. but, whatever. I dont like adding more heat to the house cooking or heating food. Don;t like having to wait on butter to get softer. Don't like waiting for clothes to dry. --[I think they should dry as quickly as they get wet]

Re: The heat
The weird thing that I've noticed, especially recently, is that here in NV it's been a little cooler than what one would think the desert would be during the later part of the summer. I've only lived here a few years, but usually we're sweltering in the 90s and up into the 100s at this point, but we're still down in the mid-80s. There's still a bit of time left for us to start melting tho. One way I've been taking advantage of the heat is when I am planning on cooking something from the freezer for dinner, and I just put it out in the sun to thaw. Takes less time than just putting it in the sink.
