For Those Who Share A Bed
The person who sleeps on the right hand side of a bed usually drives the car (UK). Or left for left hand drives.
This is just a copy and paste from something I ran across this morning. I sleep on the right side, but hubs is left handed and we are in the US.
Anyway, why do we have a preference for one side of the bed than the other? Do you ever have a problem sleeping on the "other side" ?
The only thing that matters to me is that the side I'm on isn't up against a wall.

Re: For Those Who Share A Bed
My parents always slept where he was closest to the door. I guess incase there were an intruder. I know the first time I slept with my husband (now ex) he must have been dreaming because he swung his arm over and slammed his fist right into my nose. To make it worse, I had just had a car accident and fractured my nose. I felt incredible, throbbing pain, but decided if I fell back asleep, it would stop hurting.
I wasn't so sure we were ever gonna sleep together after that.

Re: For Those Who Share A Bed
I never really cared what side I slept on. I only get annoyed if I don't have a nightstand or some type of surface to have for a bottle of water , tissues and my book. I find that men seem to care about what side of the bed they sleep on more than most women I have spoken to about this.
I just realized that I was sleeping on the right side at Kam's old place. Now he is in the new place and I sleep on the left side.I think he likes being closer to the door. Now I have to ask if he even thought about it or it just worked out that way.

Am a bit clostaphobic (way to go perve, sp, again). When really in bed to actually sleep, I like my space and peace. Alone for me, is good. With that, don't wear a watch, rings, etc., too constricting, as everything else. (did'nt see that one coming huh?)

Re: For Those Who Share A Bed
I like to sleep on my right side on the right side of the bed and my boyfriend likes to sleep on his left side on the left side of the bed. That means we sleep with our backs to one another. But most mornings I wake up to find him on my side with his arms around me. I love that but it sure makes it hard for me to get up. I don't want to leave those warm loving arms. Awww! Lol

It has come up more often than I ever expected. But not as a major topic but more of a quick question in chats many times over the years.Men seem to have a reason they sleep on a certain side of the bed. Most times having to do with the placement of the TV if there is one in the bedroom. Many others because they are close to the bathroom or door and they think that's better for some reason. Most women say they sleep on one side or the other because their partner likes a certain side. I do know many men have also mentioned that being right handed or left handed comes into the decision because they use their hands so much during sex with us that they seem to have a preference with that as well.

Re: For Those Who Share A Bed
I think you mean "Feng Shui". It is a Chinese way relating how things face, whether it be direction or even certain elements Example: Fire(stove), water (sink) should not face each other.
There are a whole bunch of other rules. It explains everything about placements and even numbers of the address. You can google it and get a much better explanation.lol
