Okay, now you went all smart on us. I am used to you just being a smart ass!
I have heard most or even all of these before but I always love reading them and I wonder how many of them are true. The all seem feasible but you have to wonder if they are just stories or really happened that way.Either way they are fascinating.I do wonder how many of these types of things everyone can come up with. I have one to add now.
Years ago manure was shipped as fertilizer by ship. it was s originally shipped bellow in the belly of the ship but they would build up methane and blow up when the ships people would go below with lanterns. So they started shipping it higher above in the open air part of the ship.It was labeled to the deck hands loading the cargo to SHIT(SHIP HIGH IN TRANSIT)

I wonder about the validity of them too. But the one that I know to be true is why so many Italian men are named Tony. In the 1900's their paper work from Italy was stamped "TONY" for To New York. Ok, that was total bullshit, but it was another feeble attempt at a lame joke.
