What was I thinking? or What were they thinking?
As I have mentioned about 100 times already I am on a quest for the perfect nude color pump at the perfect price. It really doesn't matter the details that's not the point of this thread. I have looked at easily 10,000 shoes at this point.
As I have looked at these I have come across many shoes that I just thought to myself "What were they thinking when the designer designed these?" Further , do people really buy these and wear them? I have seen shoes that look more like bandages wrapped around an angle sprain and for amounts of money that would blow your mind. I have seen shoes that I really had to think How would you even put those on? Even if you got them on how would you walk in them without hurting yourself or someone else?
I remember in one shoe store that Kam brought me too he held up a pair and just said "Can you explain these to me?" I just said "There is no explanation."
So I'm sure we have all seen or even worn things that we look at and say Really? What was I thinking? Or What were they thinking? I would love to hear about some of them. I know I have looked at some old pictures and said "Was I blind that day?"(Like the striped elephant bell bottoms.lol)Laugh all you want, you know you all have a moment like that too. Besides they were in style at the time! I wont even get into some of the hairstyles. Especially when I was modeling hair cuts.OMG they were wild for the shows.Just think of the Studio 54 days and some of you will understand what I mean.

Re: What was I thinking? or What were they thinking?
A favorite site I check weekly, is nothing but those awkward family photos, some from a portrait studio, some right of the family photo album.
The photos from the portrait studios are the best to laugh at anyway.
Especially from the 70s or 80s, they used such weird and strange backdrops, poses and props and then throw in the clothing (usually all matching) and hair styles. (Flock of Seagulls -nuff said there)
Gawd I love that site.
