No cake for you Chazzy, but I'm sure there will be plenty of "banana popsicles" on hand.

I love A & W, especially the root beer and root beer floats.
Not many of them left around here anymore.

Re: we chalked another one up
I don't think I could get a large drink for $6.59 around here.
We have an A and W here but it is only open during the summer season. We have many things that are only open during the summer around here. When all the tourists (also known as Bennies)go home they roll in the streets and lock it all up until next year.Just curious, am I the only person that doesn't like root-beer or sarsaparilla?

Re: we chalked another one up
The last A & W we had in our area got wiped out in a freak flash flood about ten years ago, Gawd they do have great food.
Now I have to freakin' go add "root beer" to tomorrow's shopping list.

Re: we chalked another one up
Sonic still hangs the tray on the vehicle window. And most summers for a month or so the carhops serve food while wearing skates. We still have drive in movie theatres too even if they are triple x now. No a&w though.

Re: we chalked another one up
A and W still has the hang on your window thing going here, and kids on skates if they know how to skate.
Jen, X-rated drive in's? I remember there was a drive in that people used to pull over on the side of the road where they could watch for the PG or R rated scenes.I can't imagine the pile up's that would cause.lol
Coney Dogs are just confusing as hell to me!I am from NY. In Brooklyn,NY there is a place called Coney Island. It is the home of Nathans and a bunch of other great stuff. They are known for the "hot-dog" However they are called franks (short for frankfurter). The Coney Island places that are all over the damn place in areas like Michigan have absolutely nothing to do with the Coney Island in NY. I was able to find that out. However no one can explain why they are called Coney or Coney Island Style restaurants or Coney dogs.I know what they are but whats up with the damn name? The people that started it were not named Coney if that's what your thinking. The place they started is not named Coney either.
