A while back, I was emailed by a member, who made reference that I said basically the same thing, about who I am (how I roll), consitantly. Made it sound like it was a bad thing. l responded, that if I said something different, I would not be genuine (real), if I "changed my tune". Already knowing the answer's, just wondering how other's feel about people who are straight up. Me? I just am what I am.Oh, did I mention I'm naked?

I am pretty tired, but I will give it a go. I like people who are straight up. I tend to shoot straight, and times I could be a little more subtle and diplomatic. What I don't like is random people putting their nose in your business, when they have nothing to do with you. In which case, I try to brief and polite, versus letting them really know how I feel about them attacking me. I am told this is taking the high road. More people should try it.

Thx kissu. I really did'nt take it as an "attack" per se, (a little sophisticated lingo there), more a curiosity. My business is on the street here, so I expect some negativity. That's ok, I'm pretty thick skinned, and have the ability to blow/laugh it off. Had an incident here a few month's back where a person got thier "panties in a bunch" over a misunderstanding, which I qualified ahead of time. Did bother me at first, but after stepping back into charactor, it was a big "oh well". And yes, human nature is to defend/debate your stand, I choose to ignore and avoid. Bottom line, I have fun here, try to contribue my brand of humor. Did I say I'm naked? (Oh my, the consistancy of it all). Btw, I am no grammer major, and can't spell. Ya think? My strength is a human calculator.  but no more  and Soap box over. (for now) And, no more because these  look better looking down at em, than looking up.

Awww....no one should point a finger, we all do it. All of us!
We all repeat ourselves frequently, say the same things, say the same type of things, use the same words and phrases, repeat the same stories and opinions....we all do it.
I love cake and banana popsicles, Landh wants to webcam, perve is naked, we've had some who "signed" every post with thier nickname and a quote or phrase.
Some sites will have an area to fill out when you register for a signature, a place for your catch phrase, favorite quote, whatever and it autmatically will appear every single time you post anything at all.
The main thing for me Perve, is that you would never write another member a negative message like you recieved. Good for you.

Repeatedly, you give me daisies and repeatedly I remark how much I love daisies, and I have repeatedly stated daisies are my favorite flower.
We all can get repetitious in one way or another, couples will repetitiously take up half a page or more telling each other how hot they think the other is, or how much they love each other, some people are predictable as to which type of topics they will or will not reply to, or...which other members they will only talk to. It's normal and none of us can escape our own repetition habits
We all focus on things that interest us, things and people we love or dislike, making it impossible for all and each of us, not to repetitious.
I think, perve dear, it's a good think that you're a nudist, as often as you have your foot in your mouth, I'm sure it's more palatable without the shoe.

I've never worried about what people think of me and I'm not about to start now. I know I post very long threads. I am not blind or oblivious as to how long they are. My attitude is and always will be, I post them, you have the option to read them or not read them. It's not that complicated. I am not good at getting to my point in just a line or two. I hate censorship so I don't even censor myself.I never take it personal if someone decides to skip my posts or hates them , whatever....

No one is loved by everyone, no one....talk about being repetitious, I've said it so many times, everyone irritates the crap out of someone. Doesn't matter who you are, someone doesn't like you.
There was this guy here, quite a long time ago, who would really blow up about certain topics. His stance was that it angered him to no end that people would talk about certain things. He hated the topic sometimes, so much, he would write these long, long ranting posts reaming everyone in thread for discussing the topic.
I tried talking to him privately about it, (had to lock threads, edit out horrible things from his posts) I asked him if a topic is of no interest to you, or inflames you to the point of risking your membership, why can't you just not read it, there's plenty of other forums with so many other topics, if there is one clearly titled that you know you hate, why not just refrain from clicking on it.
He did reply asking me if I knew just how hard it was to know that there were new replies there that would piss him off, and not read it, and once he read the replies that piss him off, how hard it is not to post?
Yes, I do understand how hard that is, but ya know, self control is really not a bad thing at all. It's something people truly admire about others. It's a quality.

Nope, he's not here anymore, it's one thing to not like a topic, to get emotional or angry about a topic, and another thing to attack and flame the people who chose to participate in a topic.

Yeah, we'll say he had some issues, for sure.
I do say, that I do not hate censorship. Trust me, things have been posted over the years here that you would be thankful got deleted before you read them. Some things are not allowed and will be deleted or edited. For example, certain sex acts among consenting adults are illegal in some states of the USA, but discussing whether you like anal or not is allowed even though there is a rule about illegal topics. But...pedophillia and beastiality also against state and federal laws will sure as hell get the crap censored out of them as anything purely racist and anything at all with the "N" word, and I will not apologize for that, I do not hate censorship, but accept that sadly, there is a need for it here.
If things were not censored here, the majority of you would write and insist on it with certain topics, I would expect you too, I do not expect you to log in and be revolted to the state of vomiting or cringing.
There are sites devoted to the things we censor here, anyone is welcome to join those sites and join their fight against censorship, but bring those topics here and each moderator will, I'm so sure, tell you the same thing,
"Hell yeah, we'll censor that shit!"

Again, I say to each his own. I would rather not have censorship, however that is only my opinion and am entitled to it. We will just have to agree to disagree. I know if something or someone offends me I can make a chicle to read it or not. I can answer it or not as well. In the case of TV and radio I just don't watch or listen to those who I find offensive or ignorant. I don't go on a "Take them off the airwaves" campaign. I personally feel that gives them more attention.
I can also agree to disagree with people and still get along quit well with that person. Free and I frequently disagree and I consider him a friend.I never mind a good debate either as long as it is with someone I feel has a brain and uses it to argue his or her point of view , even if I don't agree with it.
OK, back on topic of consistency. I think most of the people that post are consistent in their views. I think some are mixing up consistent with repetitive. It still should be up to the person posting whether they chose to post the same thing over and over. If it annoys you don't read it. There are some people that I see that post and I choose not to read. It's amazing how easy it is to do that.

Aw hon, I'm not so much arguing with you, didn't want it to come out that way, it's just that my consitancy can be that I'm aware that I can re-read my own post and think I can sound so cold and well...bitchy sometimes.
Censorship on this site is fairly an easy decision, we have a team to discuss it with, and the known wishes of the site owners to respect, and feedback from the membership.
It's my own personal failure not to be able to choose a side on being totally for or against censorship. I just cannot do it. The old saying "I may not like what you say but will defend your right to say it"...I can't say that.
If organizations that want to publish, broadcast, petition and promote to change laws to lower the age of sexual consent to the age of 8 (some organizations even want the age of consent lowered to 6 or 4 years of age) my rational mind says they should have the right to express their personal beliefs, but my heart and soul says I cannot defend their right to do so. So my mind and my heart wrestle enough to make me incapable of jumping off the fence and chosing a side when it comes to censorship, and the actual legal definition of censorship. I fail sadly on this. Just cannot do it. It is failure on my part.
I can very happily say that I would strongly defend Newbie telling Kam she loves him as often as she wants, perve saying he's naked everytime he posts, my typing abut my obsession with banana popsicles, and all that.
I am sorry for those times when I come off as robotic, cold, bitchy....it's another one of my flaws I recognize and I do try to work on.

Newb, this so reminds me of the recent media attention given to a website that the station broadcasting the superbowl refused to sell commercial air time to.
The website's content was totally on the practice helping married men cheat on their wives. How not to get caught articles, personal ads of women who prefer married men , etc...
Some local guy got so upset with this woman and her website, he bought prime time local air time which he used to show the website home page, mention numerous times the full name of the website, details about the content of the website, then finished off with how he felt it was against family values and decent morals and asked for people to join his campaign to have the site removed from the internet.
Geez, just as you said, it only promoted the site he wanted removed, the woman who owns and runs the website got far more publicity for free, than she could have ever gotten by paying a big ass load of money for SuperBowl air time.
I don't know if you watched the Super Bowl or not, Perv, but I'm sure whatever you watched, you watched it NAKED!

I could go into the legalities of commercial airtime but it gets very complicated and different groups have different laws and rules. (Some confuse rules and laws).Instead I will just say it like this. Just as this site has its rules set by the powers at be. (Yes I agree they have that right.) So do the networks you watch.On top of those things set by the powers at the networks they have the FCC and other governing bodies telling them what can be shown, said etc..It is based on many different criteria.
I know this is a bit off the original topic but it kind of flowed into this. When I say I don't like censorship I don't mean you should be allowed to change a law to make age of consent to 8, or 4 or 3.Just as Freedom of speech doesn't mean you can yell fire in a crowed building when there is no fire.There are still laws in place for a reason.
Although many laws are outdated and need to be taken off the books or updated. Laws are supposed to look at the whole and protect us as a whole. Not based on race , religion or other things that are not part of government business.
I don't like when a KKK member goes around spewing hatred but he has the right. Just as I have the right to dispute it. We can't just pick and chose what we like when it comes to what people say, or art. or TV, or Music, etc..It just doesn't work that way and I think we would miss out on a lot if we did. Just art and music alone would be very different if some people were able to censor it as they wanted.I just feel like we have to take the bad with the good and trust that people are smart enough to know the difference.Yes I give people credit for knowing the difference.

Yep, we can only pick or choose through the judicial, democratic system.
I understand that incoming and outgoing prison/jail mail has to be censored, that military mail must be censored, that military information and documents must be confidential and/or censored because it will directly effect the safety and effectiveness of our troops, and many other varied examples.
As far as the arts, it's always out there in it's pure form, some galleries may choose not to display a piece of art, and a radio station may choose to only air the censored version of a song, but the originals are still out there, and not at all difficult to find. I can choose between an edited/censored version or full graphic content version, depends....sometimes I prefer the edited versions of some things.
Someone's personal catchphrase or signature, no matter how often used, is no big deal to me at all, unless it falls under one of the rules and requires editing or censoring.
Ive kinda learned that the more someone does use a catchphrase or signature phrase, is an indication of a good mood, a happy mood....I'm so cool with that. I like it very much when happy people are in a bit of a silly mood.

As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally.
Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.
The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day.
Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets,
so ... Love the people who treat you right.

-----------and that's the type of thing I deal with many times per day. On open highway. Most are only concerned about themselves and whats happenin' in their little world. No courtesy for others. I have the same reaction as the cab driver and commend him for being that mature.

Nope, if they havent fixed themselves after all these years, I doubt that its gonna happen at all.
Well, Im off for a bit. Playing at a private party tonight. Should be interesting because its 88 and high humidity so Im sure I'll be drenched as soon as I start. See y'all tomorrow or Tuesday. Be young, have fun and drink Pepsi!
