Awwww shoot....I know we have members here that are attorneys in this specific area of law. But, since lawyers are often spoken to and about in a bad way, they don't like people to know their profession while they are here to have a good time.
Maybe one will read this and contact you privately.

ya i hear ya,wife younger sis started a big ball of wax, she got hauled to the pokie, almost got us hauled in to, now shes trying to get us to change statement given to the cops, money is gone from a bank, nothing in probate and the trailer house is still in his name, she had to pull the plug, we were on vacation traveling for a few months.we get back brother in law is ashes and my nephew stole all the stuff in the trailer just pisses a guy off.not that i want anything....

Oh geez, I'm sorry for your family's loss. It really saddens a heart to hear about family behaving that way during a time of grief and bereavemnet.
For whatever my opinion is worth, I would advise you not to change your statement to police, and I'm sure you already know that.
What I see here if your wife's sister needed your assistance, she should have included and informed ya'all before pulling the plug and making choices and decisions about her husband's estate and finances.
Now she's in a world of shit, now she wants something from you....that speaks for itself right there.

it was her and the wife's brother and ya she could of called us, she did after the fact and now she wants us to write a statement for her attorney, i can give more detail, but i/ we are not changing the story,she was also giving a restraining order, no one served us yet claiming some one was driving by shooting guns , which is a crock....ah life in a trailer park lol

Awww hell, I hate to hear ya'all have to tolerate so much crap. Yeah, changing your statement just implictes ya'all.
I can't vouch for how effective and useful they are, but some news stations shows have "Call an Attorney" day, where they set up phone lines with lawyers to answer legal questions. Fox News does this in allot of cities.
There are free legal advice sites, some you can chose to go for free advice or pay for advice. Never used any of this options myself, so can't say they'd be helpful.
