Commercials You Hate
Chazzy posted one of these a few years ago. I was gonna bump it back up until I read it saw that most of the 5 pages of commercials posted were no longer relevant, so I figured I'd start a Round 2.
The toilet paper one that starts of with that woman with the annoying voice saying "Its time to get real about what goes on in the bathroom" is absolutely stupid.
And maybe its the repetition of these but the annoyance of hearing over and over of "Milk times 3 is good for me" ; Jennifer Hutson's Jenny Craig commercial with that "Sun in the sky, you know how I feel" and Valu City Furniture's ad featuring Queen's "I Want It All" make me race to the mute button!

Most all programs I watch are recorded off the sattlite dish, to dvr. Commercials are useless to me, I'm happy to fast forward through them all. That problem solved. Same thing with ads in the mail, right to the round file, sight unseen. Besides that, if I don't know about a new product, don't know I "need/want" it, or how unhappy I am because I don't have it. A bit off topic, so carry on.

The ones I can't stand and yet I understand that they are targeting women specifically, is any commercial where the man looks like a complete moron. "Honey, you have a choice, go shopping at the mall or ship these packages." What guy in his right mind is going to choose shopping the mall? I guess that's why women can't find a guy around when there needs to be something done. We watch commercials too. We don't like to be tricked into it, so we make ourselves scarce. "Honeybunch, you can do both the shipping and the mall. We're going to the pub! HaHa..."

Yeah, we don't need to hear all about men's specific detailed urination problems caused by enlarged prostrate either!
...or all about your atheleted foot fungus and jock itch...
However, the commercial about the bride in her wedding gown on her wedding day needing vaginal itch relief....hey, happy honeymoon....'nuff said.

To be specific, the Samsung Infuse 4G. The commercial shows 3 at a restaurant, the phone is sitting on the table showing a pic of a tarantula. The girls freaks out, jumps up and starts screaming!!! Then they beat the phone to death.
1. I want to slap her; 2. I was at a bar and a guy was carrying around a real tarantula, and my first instinct was not to SCREAM, however, it was to slap it. Lucky for me and him, I was in full control of my senses. I would have hated to have killed or maimed his pet....

Thank goodness Im not the only one who wants to slap her. And the two guys are just as ridiculous. Can you imagine just sitting there and watching someone destroy your phone or beating a piece of plastic with your shoe in a resturant? Someone would be going out the window.

There is an Ace Hardware commercial which is very annoying. I personally like Ace. The one I have locally is just the right size. I don't have to go on a 5k run to find what I am looking for, or compete for the attention of a salesperson.
However, this commercial consist of a man staging a Suburban Revolt. He begins screaming, "It's time to get your weekend back! You shouldn't need a GPS to find the fertilizer!"
Now screaming might get my attention, but it is negative attention.

I'll tread carefully because I was the person who wrote produced and directed many commercials.lol
I have always argued in the office over commercials that played to the stupid. I still believe you should not do commercials like that. It insults and annoys most people.
I have always personally hated the screaming commercials as well. The "this little piggy" commercial I realize is meant to be funny however, It's such an annoying sound I dive from across the room for the remote to shut it off when it comes on.
We have a local cable spot that a car dealer guy just yells through out the entire spot "Come oooooonnnn down!" at the end he has his kids do it as well!. I want to start a petition to have it taken off the air on the grounds it should be considered noise pollution!
The best are the funny(Only if meant to be), cute little kids that giggle and cute little animals. Most people respond well to those things.

The latest one to date is a radio commercial. It has a really annoying jingle that drives me to shut it off when I even begin to hear it play. It's for 1-800- K (with a K)ars 4 Kids. I've found myself driving around in total silence, not realizing that I turned the radio off for over an hour, because of that commercial...

Quaker State oil has a commercial that states---"Drive 300,001 miles on our oil and we'll give you a check for the NADA value" You keep your car.
Now, after 300,000 miles on the same car, what would it be worth. About half of what you sepnt on oil gettin it there?

The current one that grinds my gears is the one that starts with "Its time to get real about what happens in the bathroom". That woman's voice sounds like fingernails scratching a chalkboard to me. Theres some really stupid toilet paper ads out there. The Charmin ones with the animated bears are pretty bad too. Especially the one where the bear has little white dots all over his ass and they tell us that Charmin doesnt leave anything behind. Doesnt that paint a pretty picture?

Any commercial where the volume is TEN TIMES LOUDER than the show your watching...You know I've even encountered that on-line in like hulu where they only play one thirty-second spot per break?!...Where do they think I'm going, that they feel the need to blow out my computer's speakers?!...
